First Attempt Fit Check - HBC with a Meh Dai

Hi y’all! This is my first attempt at a HBC with a Meh Dai from Hope&Plum. Normally I wear my son in a hip carry with a RS, but it is killing my back so I am trying to back carry him.

He is 4 months, and can tripod sit and has decent head control. He seems happy for the most part but does start to fuss a bit if I stay still.

If he falls asleep is it safe to keep him in or do I have to take him out? Any help on fit would also be greatly appreciated!

Hi y’all. my nearly 4mo son has suddenly…stopped pooping, and I am worried. He is peeing like a champ, like always, but has gone from pooping 3-4 times a day, to only once yesterday and no poops today. plenty of farts, but no poops. He is still eating a ton, he is EBF and a big milky guy, but I am worried because I recently went back to work. I wfh so I have continued to nurse him on demand, but I worry that my increased stress level has affected my milk composition or something.

Is this normal? Should I be worried?

Hi y’all -

I am currently trying to decide on what to do for my next carrier. I currently have a ring sling and a lark. I LOVE the ring sling.

I originally wanted to get a woven wrap. I really want to learn back carries, which I know are advanced but I am willing to dedicate the time to it. HOWEVER I was also considering a meh dai. I particularly want to be able to do high back carries, because knowing my son he will love it.

Ergonomics is super important to me, the ring sling is KILLING my back, but my son loves the hip carry. My worry with the woven is the learning curve being too difficult especially for a back carry. I hated the stretchy wrap as well, which cautions me against a woven. I do want something I can reasonably put on while out and about, like the ring sling.

I am just really afraid to spend so much money on a woven or meh dai just to hate it.

Any thoughts? Anyone have a preference for one over the other? How easy is a meh dai to do a high back carry over a woven?

Please help!
