And this is how everyone’s insurance goes up
Be careful on roundabouts folks. Everyday I see mistakes like this. You are always a few seconds away from a ruined day.

I already have a deposit on Y standard RWD but with so many compelling options available now I am getting very confused. Here are a few things I have in mind -
1) Y standard
Very efficient. Great future compatibility. FSD works amazing. A well-developed EV.
Did not like - audio is a downgrade in standard. Ride quality is ok not as good as 3 premium I test drove.
Only a basic stop and go cruise control without FSD subscription. Also not supporting Musk is an added bonus
2) Mach E premium standard range
Love the looks, what it offers, a very well rounded car. Price is ok.
Worried about winter range and future issues if any. I know 2025 onwards are now way better and evolved. I just don’t know for how long the dated software will be supported.
Very keen to go with this and keep it for a very long time.
3) Kia EV5 wind or land FWD
Sounds very promising. Have to test drive it. But for the price, it checks all boxes.
What do you guys recommend? I will level 2 charge at home, commute maybe 1-2 times a week, upto 160kms round trip.
I am very keen to get MachE but don’t want to be in a situation where a new mach e platform is launched and this one receives no updates and fixes.
UPDATE- booking a Mach E premium with extended battery
Hi everyone. Super confused about the best possible way forward. We are coming from a RAV4 hybrid. I already made a $250 deposit for y standard in June.
Originally, I was comparing between model 3 rwd and model y standard.
Here is why we chose Y standard over 3 premium -
Model 3 rwd premium
+Loved the interiors, audio, seat ventilation, white seats and glass roof
+Really liked how good the adaptive suspension is.
-did not like cargo space obviously. We use it once every month for big stuff like furniture or square shaped products/boxes.
-did not like the fact that I cannot reduce regen like in Y. I like slowing down in a relaxed way/coast more.
Model y rwd standard
+ Loved the ride height, and cargo space is amazing and very usable.
+ Adjustable regen helps a lot. Not too bothered by wheel caps and textile seats.
- did not like the audio much. Not a good sound stage, felt cheap.
- Suspension is ok but felt very bouncy towards the rear. Not a deal breaker
- did not like the lack of panoramic.
In both I absolutely loved how good the FSD is. Error free and very human like driving.
However, as audio performance and the day to day experience (heavily influenced by interiors) is very important I am worried I will look for an upgrade very soon esp driven by audio performance.
Question 1) how easy or hard will it be in the near future to achieve at least premium level audio (even without subs) ? Is it as simple as dumping better speakers and connecting them around or will it be too difficult to do it properly?
I will not pay for FSD unless for months when I have to commute too much or have a road trip.
I am also very enticed by a couple of 2023+ model y long range, under 65k kms for 49k (same as new). However, most I assume will have HW3 but will have better audio and auto steer for free.
As model 3 is out due to lack of cargo space my only real options are 2023 long range vs 2026 y standard.
What do you guys recommend? Is HW4 really way better than HW3?
