I live a block away from Wrigley. Born and raised in WI, but work brought me here. I thought y’all would appreciate the “green bay sucks” chants from the hordes of people who left this game one inning early to beat traffic.
I’m an hour away from sleep and I’m in the mood for a convo. 36F with a degree or two, if that matters, but dear god no sexts.
This vestibule leads into my garden apartment in a major city. I guess I left it unlocked one night and came home to two unhoused men lying about. They left without incident, leaving some clothing behind. It took me 2 days to gain the courage to go back in there and clear out the clothes, but it’s been weeks and NOTHING I do even reduces the stench. It’s vomit inducing.
I’ve cleared it out of everything that was there with the men, I’ve wiped everything down with a white vinegar mix, and I’ve left it open for 8 hours with a fan to try to air it out. The smell is still as strong as it was on day one.
I plan on doing a few layers of a fine, bleach mist tomorrow while leaving the front open. But if that doesn’t work, is there anything I can do about the smell short of replacing the drywall?
