January Peeps
How my January crowd doing? 1/6 here with no approval.
How my January crowd doing? 1/6 here with no approval.
Wife and I are thinking about having kids. She is very interested in having kids. I am too. However, I have a few difficult problems in my life that make me think twice. I won’t get into the long details but sufficed to say that these problems are sever enough to make me think twice. I’d love to be a father. But my situation makes me pause.
I’ve spoken to my priest and will do so again on Sunday, God willing.
In the meantime, I was wondering what prayers I can use to ask the Lord for discernment regarding having children. I have some ideas but I thought I’d ask here too or if anyone else has some experience in this area. I hope to do what God asks of me. God bless, friends.
January 6th applicant. Idk I was really hoping this week would be it. But nothing. Another week down…
How are my Jan people doing ?
May Christ have mercy on us.
So apparently they skipped over early January? Late January have been getting approved more this time around it seems like.
Supposedly they worked largely on early January already which is concerning if true.
Been waiting since 1/6. 217 Days waiting.
Hi yall
I’ve been waiting since January 6th. Called USCIS again. Not sure why. I know their answers already: No, we can’t do anything you just need to keep waiting.
Any early Jan approvals??
Another day with my Jan 6th application being ignored. So much false hope from dumb calculator estimators and API movement. I’m so exhausted and frustrated. Nobody can give me answers when I call. Nobody cares. I’m just another case number in their backlog. But wait what if I told you that the backlog is over! The same thing that has been repeated for like a month now? Ridiculous.
Another day with no approval. Jan 6th initial applicant here. Praying to our Lord Jesus Christ for positive results soon.
Any Jan approvals here ?
I finally had API movement only for I-821D on Friday. Although I do not know if it means anything anymore. Has anybody else had any movement recently if you applied in January?
Any help would be appreciated it. Been working on this since last night. I’ve rounded the bolt badly. The moron who did the oil change last welded it in it seems like. I’ve tried literary every tool possible. Honda 2010 Civic 1.8L
Any January approvals from the Nebraska Center? January 6th is when I submitted my application.
Maybe the reason USCIS has slowed down is that they are working on the automatic background system update that is supposed to be implemented at some point this month.
Or maybe the system has already been in place which would explain why there was a wave of approvals and that's as good as it gets.
January person here btw.
Thoughts? My our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us!
The “catch up” has officially slowed down. Per the data, they have approved 2k less cases than last month. One way of looking at this is to say that they are all caught up with month old cases and that’s why they approved less this month.
Only problem with that is that January people, and others around that time, are still waiting. That’s around 7 months. They haven’t actually caught up. They slowed down. Meanwhile people from April are getting approved so they can keep messing wirh the average wait times so that it looks like they are catching up.
Head of DHS testified in Congress about the backlog about a month ago. So it would make sense that they temporarily did their job of clearing some of the backlog to appease pressure from Congress.
If trends actually continued, we should be seeing January approvals by now. We are half way into June and nothing. I suspect it purposely slowed down. There’s more that would support this theory but I will leave it at that.
I’m frustrated beyond belief. They are playing this game and they are winning.
They really want to end programs like DACA by a million cuts…
January approvals? Has anyone heard of any or been approved? 6th of January I applied. Biometrics on April. Zero movement since.
… I am still waiting. Thought this would be a happy celebratory post? Nope. Since January :/
If you were brought in front of Congress to make the argument of why they should create a path towards citizenship for DACA, what would your argument be? You’d be representing the entire DACA community.
For those of us who are still waiting for our renewals for many months, what is the first thing you would do if you got approved today? May our Lord Jesus Christ be with us!
Anyone else see this? I know it doesn’t really mean anything and nothing is likely to happen from this but I find it interesting.
If you became a U.S. Citizen, what would be the first thing you would do? Positive/fun answers only! I know it’s been rough for all of us. Hope this gives us hope!
Applied Jan, got bio appointment for later that month. Missed it because I am an idiot and thought it was another day. Off by one day.
Finally got them rescheduled for April 23rd. Got them done, thank God. Been waiting since then. Watching people get approved while the rest of us rot is a crappy feeling.
On top of that, I realized I might have screwed up a signature by not including my middle name in it per policy.
Only realized that until after bios.
Not feeling very optimistic at this point. I unfortunately have much to lose. I have health issues that are manageable thanks to my work insurance which I will not have if they don’t renew me in time. On top of that, the state I am in passed a new verification process for people that have work permits and it seems that my work is getting stricter on it too.
This is so unfair. I struggle with mental health so some days are better than others. I just exhausted of my life.
