We see it repeated over and over. Even 12 year olds express caution and anticipate problems with greater wisdom than their parents. How are all of those people so immature? I know love is blind but by the time you're 40+ and a parent you should be showing a little bit of common sense.

I was thinking of wedding dress lady's son's being smarter than her about a stranger moving into their home in particular but it's basically a trope at this point
