I want my Toyon to be shrub-like, but I'm having trouble finding a video that illustrates how it's done. I'm still a newbie at gardening and need detailed instructions. Can anyone point me to a good source? Thanks much!
I planted this Toyon on the Northwest side of my house about 2.5 years ago. I don't have any place with full sun, and this side gets a lot of afternoon sun in the summer. Unfortunately, it gets very little sun in the late Fall and Winter. Will this affect its ability to bloom? So far, it hasn't set any blooms.
Is anyone else experiencing this right now? I thought it was slugs and put out traps last night. But when I checked them at 5am — not one slug. What I did find was lots of earwigs! What is the best way to deter them? I do have some coco mulch in the bed, does that contribute to the problem?
I'm putting in a concrete slab which will come very close to the Xfinity access box in my backyard. Please advise as to how to proceed so your equipment is not damaged.
