Hello! I’m looking for advice on how to source a case and crystal for this. I’m planning to take it to my watchmaker to put it together for me. Other than finding a donor watch, where would you suggest hunting for an unbranded case that might fit? Thanks!
Is it Shahsavan? And why does the weaving style change half way down the back?
I bought this because I like all the animals but also because it is beautifully imperfect. The entire border is on the wonk and the weaving changes dramatically on the back.

I bought it because I like the colours. No information about its provenance came with it.
I picked it up today from and auction house and took it straight to a professional cleaner who is also going to fix the fringe.
He said it is wool on a cotton foundation and he said the pattern is Turkmen. He said there are 3-4 repairs, some at least 30 years old.
He suggested to remove the part in the centre that is damaged and rejoin it, but I’m not sure if I should do that? I’d appreciate some advice on that, please.
It was simply sold as “mixed pile rug” with no other information.
