Sorry for the phone picture. I am pretty sure my sims are glowing like this because of the meaningful stories mod because it started right after I installed it. Can I make it stop? I like the mod but this effect is so annoying.
Edit: It's happening to multiple sims. It isn't like this all the time. Sometimes they're happy when it happens but not always. I'm going to remove the mod when I get home to see if it's the cause for sure. And thanks to everyone who has responded!

I tried looking it up but everything is coming back for recent stories. Is $4 the highest gas has been in Asheville? I don't remember ever paying this much before but I'm not sure.
I've been getting gas in Arden because it's been cheapest but now my beloved QP is $3.99
