Eviction and St Marys judges

Do the judges encourage the tenant and landlord to work it out? The tenant is not a repeat offender thank goodness. He asked the property manager if he could make extra payments to catch up and she said no they dont take partial payments. I've never been in this situation so I have no idea what will happen. Anyone have advice?

Interview scheduled without being asked availability

This is so odd. I was approached by a govt lead on a different team and asked if I would be interested in a position with them. Different contract, different contractor and I am not familiar with the company. The govt sent my resume to the them with a message that they are interested in me.

Had a screening call with the recruiter a few days ago and it went well. I emailed the recruiter with a question today and they responded, and then said they are sending a meeting invitation for this Friday for an interview. Did not ask if I was available, did not offer the time of the interview. I was actually shocked. I sat and pondered how to respond because I was so surprised that they assumed I would be available and didn’t have the courtesy to ask me first.

Note: this is a senior position and I am well qualified. My salary requirement is $15k more than they are offering for this position , however it’s an expansion billet and I know the govt has wiggle room and will not balk at adding funding to the contract for me. This job has been open for about a month and the contractor has not done anything with it.

I wrote back and asked what time they were planning for because I’m off that day and I have a couple appointments scheduled (which is true). The response was xx time and that is the only time the hiring manager has available.

Have you ever had this happen? Would you ever do this yourself as a recruiter or hiring manager?

Interview scheduling process

Have you ever/would you ever send a meeting maker setting up an interview with a candidate without confirming the date and time ahead of time?

Hey Dr. XXXX guess what! My digestion issues WERE NOT due to eating the wrong things🖕🤬

I (54F) have had digestive issues for my whole life. Not worth going through all the history but suffice to say that a few years ago, my overweight years, I tried to talk to my doc about the constant gastro problems. Her response: do you drink coffee? Do you eat chocolate? Do you eat acidic foods (tomato sauce)? If so you're eating all wrong and thats what is causing this. End of story.

My response: I do eat/drink those things, however I also have negative reactions to vegetables, fruit, and damn near everything I eat. How can I be eating EVERYTHING wrong every single day all day long?

Her response: here is a the food pyramid. Bye bye now.

So I lost 63 lbs and my stomach issues subsided about 30%. From being miserable 7 days a week i was miserable around 3-4 days per week. My calorie intake was quite low of course and I am very picky now about what I eat - its all healthy all the time. But I never talked to her about it again because of her dismissive attitude. And i should have....

Cut to this week when I went to a gastro doc for a consultation about my colonoscopy that i'm due for. As I explained all my woes to this doc she starts asking me questions. Lots of questions. And THEN SHE SAYS I want to schedule you for an endoscopy and a CT scan. Start keeping a food and BM diary and I'm giving you an Rx for a med that could help with the stomach cramps - i want to see if it works for you. I'm inclined to think you have IBS.

Well HOT DAMN maybe there IS something wrong with me beyond just being fat!

I say this next statement very tongue in cheek and am not minimizing anyone's experience so please please do not come for me because my intent is pure: we know profiling is a damn real thing ("Driving while black" and "flying while Muslim" for example) so is there "Patienting while overweight?"

Unexpected weight loss benefit

So many people don’t recognize me now and it makes avoiding conversations delightfully simple! Huge bonus!
