People who switched from Tier 2/3 companies to Tier 1 (Google, Atlassian, Microsoft, Uber, etc.) — could you share your journey?

Hi everyone,

I'd love to hear from people who made the jump from a Tier 2/3 company to a Tier 1 product company.

If you've been through that journey, would you mind sharing your story? I'm interested in everything—how you started, what motivated you, how you prepared, the struggles you faced, mistakes you made, how long it took, and what finally helped you crack the interviews.

If possible, I'd also love to know:

- What was your tech stack before switching?

- Did you continue with the same stack or learn something new?

- How much did DSA, system design, and your tech stack matter?

- If you had to start over with around 3 years of experience, what would you prioritize?

I'm currently on a similar path, and I think learning from real journeys would be much more valuable than generic advice.

Thanks in advance to everyone who shares their experience!

Looking for an SDE-2 Study Partner (3 YOE, .NET/Angular/FastAPI, Targeting Product Companies)

Hey everyone,

I'm a software engineer with 3 years of experience, currently working on backend and full-stack applications using .NET, Angular, and FastAPI.

I'm preparing for an SDE-2 level job switch and targeting strong product companies. My current focus areas are:

- DSA (LeetCode)

- Low-Level Design (LLD)

- System Design

- Backend fundamentals

- C#, .NET Core, SQL

- FastAPI and API architecture

- Interview preparation and mock interviews

I'm looking for 1-2 serious study partners who are actively preparing for product-company interviews.

What I'm looking for:

- Consistent preparation

- Daily/weekly accountability

- DSA discussions

- System Design discussions

- Occasional mock interviews

- Long-term commitment

What I'm NOT looking for:

- Large study groups

- Daily long calls

- People who are still deciding whether to start

The goal is simple: stay consistent, learn together, and crack better opportunities.

If interested, DM me with:

- Years of experience

- Tech stack

- Target companies

- Current preparation status
