After being a mid-tier laptop gamer my entire life, finally decided to build my first ever PC!

It's a bit messy, but it's mine! 😁 Any tips/ suggestions? OS is already loaded and all seems good! Surprisingly, it booted up on the first try too, thanks to a lot of YouTube tutorials that I followed. Any tips? Feedback? I just wanted to share this little accomplishment of mine haha

Build is: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 5080 GamingPro 16GB Motherboard: MSI X870 Gaming Plus WiFi RAM: 32GB T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 6000MHz SSD: KLEVV CRAS C930 1TB NVMe Gen4 PSU: Antec NE1000G M 1000W Gold Cooler: DeepCool LQ360 360mm AIO Case: Corsair 3500X LX-R RGB Fans: Corsair 120LX-R/ LX RGB

Fan setup: side and bottom ones are all intakes, rear and top are exhausts. Temps are (compared to a 80°C laptop lol) decent at about GPU at around 65°C and CPU at about 55°C, running cyberpunk max graphics at 1440p with PT.

This build was about 2 months of my salary but it was so worth it 😭

Thoughts on this Ryzen 7 9850X3D / RTX 5080 build?

Hey guys! I’m looking into building a new gaming PC and wanted to sanity check the parts before committing.

This is going to be my first high-tier PC, or honestly my first high-tier tech product in general, and it means a lot to me that I get it right for my childhood self. I’ve spent a couple of days putting this build together. I’ll be coming from a second hand Lenovo LOQ RTX 4060 laptop, just to put the upgrade in perspective. (I believe that is mid tier)

It’ll mainly be for gaming, but I’ll also use it for casual browsing, YouTube/streaming, and my software developer work.

I’ll be using it with either an AOC 1440p 180Hz mini-LED monitor or a TCL mini-LED 4K 144Hz TV, depending on what I’m doing.

Parts:

CPU: Ryzen 7 9850X3D
GPU: RTX 5080 16GB
Motherboard: MSI X870 Gaming Plus WiFi
RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000MHz
Cooler: DeepCool LQ360 360mm AIO
Case: Corsair 3500X LX-R RGB
PSU: Antec NE1000G M 1000W Gold
SSD: KLEVV CRAS C930 1TB NVMe

Price is around R63,000 South African Rand, or roughly $3,400 USD.

Does this look like a balanced build for the price? Is it actually a high-tier build? Anything you’d change?
