>"They were as dear to me as memories from long ago. It’s a little silly to grow so attached so quickly to people who, after all, play only a fleeting role in your life. That’s the nature of shared emotions."
Léon Daudet
While today Bastille Day is celebrated by almost entire country with a military parade, back in the 1920s there was a significant group of people who each year mourned that day - The French Action.
Edit: To make it clear, this teaser was originally posted on Bastille Day.
I've been playing as Two Sicilies and I managed to diplomatically reunify Italy, with the exception of Tuscany, as it became a French protectorate in the last moment.
Ever since the start of the game I've been struggling economically, but thought that when I reunify Italy I will recover. I didn't.
I have high taxes, consumption tax on liquor and wine, medium wages for government workers and low military wages.
To make it clear, I am a VERY new player. This is like my 4th time playing the game and previously I only played as Russia.
>"What are Pavia or Rosbach...compared to Sedan or Waterloo? Revolutions have succeeded revolutions. The state is bankrupt. Three times foreign invaders have occupied Paris. We have had two civil wars. We have witnessed the making of Italian unity and German unity and the enormous expansion of the double Anglo-Saxon empire. Never has political France been so small. And since then she has accomplished her masterpiece of smallness. She has turned herself into a Republic, in other words she has deliberately chosen to be weak and defeated."
Charles Maurras
