Last spring I ran over a curb entrance to a parking lot with the right side of my BRZ.

It was my shame.

I was able to make it home, the steering was off and I could tell the alignment was way out. I've turned almost all the bolts under there, so in my mind I'm thinking: steering rack, LCAs, struts (I run Koni yellows) in the front at a minimum, rear end was also out. I parked her in the garage and pondered for a couple months, maybe throw parts at her and get lucky? Every time I walked by, I felt my shame.

Finally broke down last week and figured that's what I have insurance for, she's paid off but I maintain full coverage. Called insurance, had them pick it up and take it to a local shop. All the damage was in the front LCA and a bent strut. The rear end just needed to be put back into alignment.

I'm out of pocket nothing but my deductible, and my baby is back! She feels like she did before I fucked up, and I am so grateful.

12 years since, all I know is pain.

To those going through something similar, I wish I had the words of strength to offer you. Do what you have to do to stay positive. Sometimes it feels like the days won't stop coming, no matter how hard you fight it. But eventually that day ends, so the next one can begin.

For those that wanted the recipe. Linked below. This was my base, I stray now a little bit with my seasonings (a few dashes of jalapeno powder is my secret to kick up the spice in a lot of dishes, without affecting flavor) and a few other tweaks for my liking.
