Upright or canister?

Hi, looking for advice and leaning towards a SEBO. I’ve had Dysons all my homeowner life (25 years) and as others know, the quality has fully tanked off a cliff.

I like upright. I’m worried I won’t be able to adapt to a canister.

House is 2800 sq feet, 2 level, mostly carpet except for a few rooms of hardwood.

We have a weekly cleaning service that does a full house cleaning and vacuum so I want something to do daily to keep dust, allergies, dog hair controlled. My dust, spring and fall allergies are pretty bad.
I usually don’t do the stairs daily, just main lower level carpets and kitchen hardwood. We do have rugs that I will want to vacuum daily, too.

Will the Felix be fine for my needs?

Tips on Dispersion?

Help me please! I love the glass bead effect right after it’s done, but it disperses so fast. Faster than cat eye which I can get to stay lined quite well.
I magnetize for 60 seconds. I magnetize both last and top coat. It’s totally makeshift horseshoe magnet with a hair tie tied to it that I spin between my fingers 😂 Not super efficient but it gives a nice bead initially.

Should I hold it longer than 60 seconds? Attach to a battery powered stirrer/whisker maybe so the bead ends up smaller reducing the dispersion across the entire surface?

I read a base coat helps? Any recommendations? I really want to “nail” this some day!
