Ghost Fist (Danny Rand) character concept

Ghost Fist (Danny Rand) character concept

**Ghost Fist (Danny Rand):**

Art by @shim0rin on Twitter

Danny has recently taken up a new mantle after dying in his 50th anniversary comic, the Ghost Fist. The avatar of Osiris and essentially a phantom that can be temporarily resurrected as of right now.

Danny is my favourite Marvel superhero so I wanted to make a concept for him, as I doubt they'll add him as Iron Fist as Lin Lie holds that mantle in the game right now. So Ghost Fist will have to do, which is still pretty cool, especially with his new powers.

Here's a break down of his powers as Ghost Fist, I won't be using all of them though:

Martial Arts. Second best in Marvel next to Shang Chi.

The Iron Fist. He can charge his fist with chi to create a devastating attack. He seems to have this power back, presumably from the dragon Tan Long.

The Iron Fist grants some unique powers, like hypnosis and healing.

Ghost Powers. Invisibility and intangibility. These come from Osiris.

Energy blasts. Osiris seems to provide him with some powerful energy attacks.

Resurrection. He can be brought back from the dead by Osiris.

Necromancy. Osiris lets Danny resurrect whoever he wants seemingly. He's done this with Fat Cobra, the Bride of Nine Spiders and the undead dragon Tan Long.

Energy Constructs. Danny has recently shown the ability to create physical constructs out of chi, specifically Nunchucks.

The Concept:

I'll give rough stats to give an idea of the abilities, this won't be perfectly balanced obviously as it would need game testing.

Vanguard

500 health

Passive Ability: Undying Warrior:

When dead he can resurrect himself where he died, he only gets a set amount of healing though. Doing so grants a small duration of invincibility after being resurrected. This has a long cooldown, and kills reduce the cooldown.

2 second resurrection duration.

250 health on resurrection.

2 second invincibility duration.

60 second cooldown.

-10 seconds off the cooldown per kill.

Primary Fire: Kung Fu:

Strike forwards with Kung Fu attacks, locking onto targets and dashing towards them for each hit. He attacks in sets of 6, with a delay after the 6th hit. Each hit deals damage.

6 meters dash lock on range.

4 meters attack range.

+200% dash movement speed.

25 damage per hit.

1 hit every 0.6 seconds.

1.2 second delay after 6 hits.

Secondary Fire: Dragon Punch:

Holding this charges up a powerful punch. He moves slower while charging. It has a charge meter, with a maximum amount. Realising this has him dash forwards while punching. The longer the charge, the further the punch. Hitting an enemy deals damage and knockback. It deals higher damage and knockback the higher the charge. Hitting an enemy into a surface deals damage and stun, the damage increases the longer the charge. This has a cooldown.

-50% movement speed while charging.

+1000% dash movement speed.

1.5 seconds to fully charge.

10 minimum charge damage.

5 meter of minimum charge knockback.

100 maximum charge damage.

10 meters maximum charge knockback.

10 minimum charge wall impact damage.

50 maximum charge wall impact damage.

0.5 seconds of stun after wall impact.

6 second cooldown.

Ability 1: Ghost Body:

He calls on Osiris and becomes ghostly for a duration, moving faster than normal. He looks translucent and is intangible for the duration. This means damage passes through him and therefore he's invincible. He can't attack himself for this duration. This has a cooldown.

6 second duration.

+25% movement speed.

10 second cooldown.

Ability 2: Soul Blast:

He releases a powerful energy blast in the area around with the powers of Osiris. This deals damage and knockback. If enemies are knocked into surfaces they take additional damage and slow for a duration. This blast can delete projectiles and block attacks for its short duration. Each enemy hit gives him over-shields, with a maximum amount. They drain over time after a duration. This has a cooldown.

1 second activation.

15 meters area.

50 initial damage.

10 meters of knockback.

50 wall impact damage.

-25% wall impact movement speed debuff.

2 second movement speed debuff duration.

+50 over-shields per enemy hit.

250 maximum over-shields.

Over-shields decay after 6 seconds.

125 over-shields decay a second.

8 second cooldown.

Ultimate Ability: Rain Fire:

Danny summons Tan Long, the undead dragon. It appears in the sky above him. He points forwards and the dragon flies in that direction a set distance while breathing fire down below. The actual fire beam deals damage, downwards knockback and grounded to enemies it hits. It leaves a trail of fire in the direction it travels where the fire breath hits, essentially scorching the ground with fire. The fire deals damage over time to enemies who stand on it and slows them. Tan Long has health and can be killed. This has an ultimate charge meter.

2 second activation.

Tan Long appears 15 meters above Danny.

10 meters a second Tan Long flight speed.

40 meters flight range.

5 meter wide fire breath beam.

50 fire breath damage.

10 meters of fire breath downwards knockback.

2 second fire breath grounded effect.

10 meters wide ground fire area.

50 ground fire damage per second.

-25% enemy movement speed when standing on fire.

8 second ground fire duration.

1000 Tan Long health.

3500 energy cost.

Team Up: Dragon Masters:

Ghost Fist and Iron Fist

Danny is the anchor here:

+50 health.

Lin Lie gains a new ability, Dragon Spirit. Upon activation, Lin Lie punches forwards and a chi dragon flies forwards a set range. It passes through enemies dealing and barriers, dealing damage and slow for a duration. This has a cooldown.

1 second activation speed.

20 meters a second dragon movement speed

20 meter dragon range.

50 dragon damage.

-25% enemy movement speed.

2 second movement speed debuff duration.

15 second cooldown.

I made this concept for a Power Man and Iron Fist dual character a few months ago.

I personally think now they'll do Luke Cage and Danny Rand as individual characters nowadays, but I was pretty happy with how this concept turned out.

What do you think they will do for Captain Britain's 50th anniversary?

Had to repost because of spelling mistake.

For reference, this October marks the 50th anniversary since Captain Britain's debut in 1976.
