Andromeda (M31)

My first serious attempt at editing with Siril and Graxpert. Already had experience with Gimp.

The data is a 2x mosaic with the Seestar s50 in alt az mode. 63 minutes of 10 second exposures.

Processed stacked fit from seestar in graxpert for background and denoise, siril for stretch, color and detials, graxpert again to extract background and noise caused by siril, Gimp for color, curves, contrast and Lightroom Mobile free for the maximum details.

Andromeda first try

Taken with seestar s50

49 minutes of 10 second subs.

Denoised in seestar app and edited in Lightroom Mobile free version.

In Lightroom further denoise, and playing with a lot of things to get most details out.

I really like this result for such a simple editing process. Its amazing what the seestar can capture!

I currently have no good means to take out the sattelite trails. Any tips?

Mineral moon

Photos shot with seestar S50, edited in phone gallery to bring out the minerals. Its not perfect, but shows the moon had more then meets the eye.

Moon close up

Taken with Seestar s50.

Took a video 4x zoomed raw video with the of the moon for high fps, stacked the raw file in autostakkert, 25% of the 8000+ frames with 1.5 drizzle. Used all four combinations of wavelet schemes. Any tips are welcome. I think I'll try a 3x drizzle with some other data I have of the underside of the moon. I messed with the wavelet sliders, contrast, brightness and color balance/ histogram untill I thought it looked good. The S50 is one crazy little telescope. And I assume being pushed to its limits here. Quite happy already with the results.

The wavelets are as following first to last picture:

Lineair Gaussain

Lineair Default

Dyadic Gaussain

Dyadic Default

Moon processing

Around 500 raw frames stacked in autostakkert, processed through PIPP before. Shot while it was stil light 22:22 Netherlands. Edited and sharpend in Gimp and a bit more on my phone for the best results. I am very happy with the result. But I have a question, when I zoom in on the picture I still see checkerboard lines, I assume it has to do with the bayer pattern? But i'm not sure. Hoe can I get rid of those is post processing?

M51 first DSO

My first ever DSO with the Seestar s50 I got today.

258 × 10 second exposures. Stacked, denoised and edited only in the seestar app, some contrast, brightness and saturation adjustments. Slightly cropped.

What do you think? Is this good for a first time?

First light from my S50

Just got my S50 today second hand and used it on the sun. This is a 25 second raw video stacked and minimal edited in the seestar app.

I really like pigeons

Since I was little I liked them. Since I got a good camera phone I just need to take pictures when they are chilling in the backyard.
