Inherited family heirloom violin, but I think it might be fake!

Hello! I just inherited my concert violinist mother‘s “1864 Enrico Ceruti” violin and have been asked to get it insured & pass it on to my children since it is alleged to be extremely valuable. Help! I have an appointment with a luthier, but I will be so embarrassed if it’s fake after all of the family hagiography around it. The label is making me suspicious. Can anyone give me an honest opinion if it is worth even asking a luthier? TIA!

First impressions, what does he look like? I'm probably going to spring for an Embark test soon, but in the meantime, I'd love to hear some opinions! He's currently 8 months old and weighs about 30 lbs. I added a couple of baby pics in there if those might help! Thanks
