I have an AC that i need to replace power cable on. i opened it up and located the area where i need to disconnect, but am having trouble pulling them off. i admit that i am far from pulling hard because i dont want to make a mistake. i’m from the Computer / Tech world and feel fine gutting things like this BUT ive never encountered this kind of problem and would feel a lot better if i had someone w exp confirming what i need to do.
here’s a link to the power cable where u can see details, and ill inc a pic of what i have in front of me too
my Hisense portable model AP1019CR1G stopped working in middle of awful heat, of course 😂 The plug on the power strip where it was plugged in seems to have burned the end of the power cable. Now if i try to plug it in anywhere it doesn’t show any signs of life. It would seem that if i replace this power cable (i’m a tech guy so feel somewhat comfortable w taking electronics apart n have this unit already) wouldnt that fix it?
also, i see a ton of power cable replacements online but when i tried to search hisense encompass store for parts, it seems it may not b in stock. is there a recommended alternative that wont crush $?
last… ive taken the unit apart and have identified the cable ends that need to be detached should i proceed w replacement. i tried pulling them out from the board they r plugged in to but they didn’t give easily so i stopped there n thought id double check here b4 i pull w any force. i have a pic to show the ends im referring to but i cant see how to add it here… do i just pull them hard until they pop off or is there some special way those come off?
