The Rawlings Pro-TB argument(Trapeze Black) 12.75"

I'm going to make the argument that The Rawlings Trapeze Black in 12.75" in Heart of the Hide and Pro Preferred is the most iconic glove ever made. The argument is simple. Three of the mostly recklessly amazing outfielders wore it.

Bo Jackson

Ken Griffey Jr.

Mike Trout

These three probably all cut their careers short by just playing too intensely. They fearlessly risked their bodies to make incredible plays. They were all 215-235lbs of muscle on 6'1"+ frames and basically wrecking balls. And they all chose the black 12.75" trapeze as their main weapon in the outfield.

That's my "argument" but it's really just my biased opinion. What other models carry these stories for others?

Japanese eBay Listing Weirdness

Anyone else not a fan of Japanese listing for gloves? It's like they either spam 50 new gloves at once, often massively overpriced kids glove, or the weirder where 5 accounts have the exact same used glove at different prices. I've seen this with watches as well. I guess more sellers are always better, but not a fan or whatever this selling technique is.

Early 2k Rawlings was Insane

This is a kids 11.5" glove from early 2k. Real steerhide/cowhide. Deer Tanned Cowhide liner. Factor Rawlings color fade tanning(not painted). The quality is better than about any store glove today except HOH, and I'd take it over the R2G ones. Wild

Vintage Nike Binding "Fix"

Posted on my old Nike Diamond Ready having the binding completely degrade with old age despite glove overall being decent shape. Hearing it was a common issue, I said screw it. Since the glove is probably worth $10 at play it again sports, I just ripped everything off. Only tools were pocket knife, scissors, and elbow grease. I actually think it's kind of a cool "rough edge" unfinished look now. Calling it a win, ha

Nike Cut Corners

The Nike Diamond Ready was a solid all around mid tier glove in the early 2k. Game ready, nice soft leather, really nice inside leather with padding, drifit lining, good looks. Yet someone there decided to totally cheap out on the piping, and now you have a completely serviceable with this horrible look due to age degradation. Smh

2017 ASG Quality

Anyone have one of these? They are polyester, and are indestructible, don't get white sweat stains and keep their shape with any wear. I love wool official on fields, but these are something else for hot weather

5 finger?! Korean Trap-Eze - 80's? Playmaker

Vintage 2 in the pinky Rawlings playmaker. Anyone know anything about these? I know The Vise was a later attempt at the 4 finger(5 w/trapeze) style. This one has to be late 70s to early 90s, but not sure exact year.

Amazon Mallet/Lace/Needle/Locks deal

Amazon has a .5lb mallet, 2 42" brown laces, a threading needle and 2 black lace locks for $7. No brainer kit if you don't have one. I didn't link because wasn't sure if allowed but TeeLiy is the seller.

NYC Heist???

These gloves went for $150 each on eBay. I assume the Jeter Revolution is same quality as HOH? The B Williams clearly is HOH. Those pinstripes are nuts. Some Yankee fan got a total steal I am guessing.

44 Ultra 90% Stiff vs 1990s Horween

Has anyone compared or broken in both these? Is the 44 a similar experience or even being stiff does it's have a softer leather feel than those vintage HOH?

Miken was so metal

As I see all the new releases of bats in skittles color ways(not hating) and emphasis on "drip", I think back to an era where the goal of the bat was different. It was to intimidate and potentially frighten your opponent. No bat went harder than the Miken Psycho. This wasn't BESR or a high school/college bat mind you. THIS IS 28/16.5 and 28/19 BATS FOR 8 YEAR OLDS. If Limp Bizkit "Break Stuff" was a bat, this is it. For an 8 year old. 2011 Miken, we salute you
