Chapter 3205, Abundance.

Chapter 3205, Abundance.

We got a possible tidbit of Abundance's backstory.

>“Right... right. Giant Red Skull Centipede? Of course, I heard of it! I am not some ignorant fool, after all. Isn't it... uh... isn't it that thing Heart God once cast into the abyss after it gnawed on the insides of the Heart Tree's fruit?"

>“No, you're thinking of the Spirit Worm, Abundance! The Giant Red Skull Centipede is a different worm; it's the corpse worm that devoured the flesh of Beast God's first avatar!"

To bad these mfs are larpers so everything they say has to be taken with a boatload of salt. 😭😭

My experience reading Shadow Slave.

From the Forgotten Shore, the streets of NQSC, the Nightmare Desert, Godgrave to the Underworld there's always the three eyed skull.

I've never sat down and actually thought about how big the Shadow Colossus is until now. 🤔

3075 :

>Then, he shaped himself into the true, colossal form of the Jade Titan — easily two hundred meters in height, towering above the crumbling settlements like a dark deity. Stepping into the river, Sunny caused it to seethe and foam around his colossal ankle, spilling from its shores. He took another step, walking deeper into the river — in the end, when he reached its deepest part, water only reached his waist.

Considering the the wording this is a lowball.

[r/relationship_advice] I got involved with an Asgardian.

Here goes nothing...so my friends and I were backpacking across Europe after my last semester of college ended. You know it was the usual "the world feels like it's about to end every other day so let's just do it" type of thing. So off 4 of us boys went.

It was the usual things you'd experience. We visited Istanbul, the Ruins of Sokovia, Rome, Venice, Paris etc. A great experience overall. But then we reached the part I was dreading, the end. We needed a final destination to top off the trip and the idea of New Asgard was floating around.

You see I'm not particularly religious but I did grow up in a Christian home and am Christian myself so a whole people who claimed themselves to be "gods" had always rubbed me the wrong the way.

My friends were aware of this and I think this is where the indecision came into play. But after some back and forth my friends were all sure and managed to convince me awell by telling me to just convince myself that the Asgardians are just confused aliens.

So off we went and touched down in New Asgard, despite my initial squeamishness we all actually had a alot of fun ! Barely even coming across that many Asgardians.

Then through our day their we found ourselves at the infamous Infinity Cones (stupid name btw) to get ourselves some dessert. That's where I met her.

While I was in queue ordering for the group I saw this drop dead gorgeous woman the line next to the one I was in. Like when I say she was beautiful I mean it, she was otherworldly (If only I knew 🤦). While waiting I tried to spark up a convo but hopelessly fumbled.

For some reason I thought talking about the wheather would be an actually good icebreaker. Anyways she just politely answered me with singular responses and went on about her day. The lines continued to move and it was her turn up...then I noticed something, she was fumbling around with the money she had like she wasn't all that familiar with it.

Seeing this as a chance to write off our previous awkward interaction decided to step in and I helped her get her order. She left with a thank you and smile and I went back to my own business.

Then when I had finally gotten my order and was going to my table I caught something in the corner of my eye. The same girl was motioning for me to go sit at the table she was !

Thinking quickly I left all the ice-cream I had but mine on the table next to me and signaled one my to come get them. No way I was missing this chance. I quickly moved to her table just as she was finishing off the last bits of ice cream.

That's when she did something weird. Instead of just throwing what remained in the trash she threw it in like her intention was for it to break and whispered underneath her breath "another".

I didn't pay it much mind though because I was like "it's Europe", culture shock and all that. So from their we got to talking. Now that I was having a full blow conversation I finally noticed she spoke with an unfamiliar accent and weird vocabulary but I again I just rubbed it off as Europe being Europe.

And just like that I spent the rest of my day with her. First it was just talking and next thing I knew I was getting a personal tour of New Asgard. And man it was amazing, this girl was so energetic and charismatic.

And I know what most of yall are thinking...is he stupid ? It's pretty obvious. But in my defence the world was just unicorns and rainbows, I wasn't coming up with productive thoughts.

So finally the day came to an end and the two of us found ourselves by the pier. We were taking a walk and somehow the conversation became about soul mates of all things.

She asked me if I thought they were real and I answered ofcourse, the atmosphere became too tense for my liking and decidedly to throw in a joke about how I just hope someone's isn't an Asgardian because quote on quote "you never know what freaky ass shit those bumbling space vikings are hiding no matter how human they look".

Yeah...I messed up horribly. After that she just looked me dead in the eye, said "freaky shit like this ?" and leaped hundreds of meters away from me. That's when I realised. In a panic I rushed back to my hotel room.

This is now me I'm typing this out. I would have asked my friends for advice but I know all I'll get are "my steak is too juicy, my lobster is too buttery" comments.

I like this girl but I can't get past the fact she's an Asgardian and after what she did she also kind of terrifies me.

TLDR : I like an Asgardian woman but it conflicts with my faith.

"Rain is a nepo baby" is the stupidest complaint about her and one of for the novel as a whole.

And no, It's not because I'm here to argue that it isn't the case and she actually works for everything she gains throughout the story. Quite the opposite.

It's a stupid complaint towards her because how else the fuck is it supposed to be ?

If you had/have an older sibling who cares about you know there's inherit benefits that come with. If they're physically capable bullies don't mess with you, if they smart homework won't be a struggle, if they know people getting into places gets easier. Same case for Rain but to the umpteenth power.

Her brother was one of the most powerful at every Rank he achieved and currently one of the most powerful beings in all of existence. If she wasn't getting preferential treatment I'd note Sunny down as one of the worst siblings in fiction and be questioning his competence, affection and overall brain function.

It's like just because we've seen Sunny suffer for every single thing he has alot of people expect the same from Rain ? Why the hell should she unnecessarily suffer when she's already standing on the shoulders of a giant ?

Long story short Rain is a nepo baby and that's okay, infact it's a good thing considering whole reason Sunny never disturbed her the day he found her was because he couldn't provide her anything.

If your brother is a millionaire you shouldn't be scrounging around entry level jobs as an intern.

This changes everything.

3168 :

>The last thing he saw before the darkness swallowed him was his sword, lying in the filth on the ground, its azure blade desecrated and painted dark crimson by blood.

>He knew that one day, soon, all memories of him would be erased from the world. All traces of him, and the Starlight Legion as well, would be gone, and everything they had done — both their valor and their sin — would be forgotten.

>Only steel would remain.

>Only steel would remember.

>At the end there, he felt regret.

>He thought that his poor, loyal sword deserved to forget as well...

3167 :

>The door was painted red, and there was a silver bell hanging above the porch. When the wind blew, it rang beautifully.

...

>Instead, he remembered a different weight. The modest weight of a silver bell he had held often, a long time ago.

>‘Right... the bell...‘

>When had he lost it?

>He didn't remember.

>He had not thought about that thing for years, but now that it was gone, he suddenly felt its absence.

>He could almost hear its ringing.

>Its sweet ringing...

>As it swayed in the wind on a sunlit porch. Now, there was only silence left.

>Only darkness.

It's always been pretty obvious that the Nighmare Creature and the Memory you recieve from killing it were connected. But originally it just seemed like it was equivalent how it is in games, the mechanic where if you kill a bug type enemy and you recieve bug-type/bug related armour as a reward.

But no, we've learnt the connection is deeper than that, there's a reason Memories were named Memories from the very beginning. The weapon, garment, charm you recieve for killing someone or something is based off of a real life object from their memories that holds sentimental value.

This has some crazy implications.

What does this mean for Memories like the Undying Chain ? Sin of Solace ?

This also puts VTB stealing the Memory he recieved for killing it in a whole new light.

"Dad who was Mission Debt ?"

Remember when I'd open Reddit to immediately find a discussion post where Mission is quoting chapters left, right and center to show you a detail you missed, his critique of the story, general thoughts on a chapter, new perspective or just brainstorming a theory. With him including the mandatory sneak glaze for Nephis in everything ofcourse...

I remember fighting alongside him during the Nephis vs Mordret slander wars. Arguing with him about Sunny vs Nephis. Him teaching me his signature "novel quote" technique. Oh how it was glorious.

Now he's barely here. A legend came to an end.

Btw I once dreamed about you, you were a girl (you were hot).

Sunday Corruption Contest #2

A week has already passed huh...

You know the drill.

Sunday is the day you're allowed to crosspost your degeneracy from here to the main sub and top post gets to choose the Sub's banner for a week.

You know the drill.

  1. Make sure isaid post doesn't break the main sub rules.

  2. The Contest runs for Sunday only.

  3. The crosspost must be from here to there.

  4. Though we are lobotomised make sure your banner of choice stays cutesy, classy and demure. ( doesn't violate Reddit TOS )

Failure to follow the guidelines will result in the horror known as Violin actually taking part in the sub reddit and doing his job as the founder.

That's about it. Winner will be chosen fairly no matter how tempted I am to abuse my powers

I underestimated you Queen. Chapter 3166

Everyone is talking about Eurys and the Empire of War but there's also this...

2302 :

>"Well... to be fair, I don't comprehend that much about the Jade Queen either. She was the initial owner of the Jade Palace — actually, it was constructed for her. "

...

"You must realize that the Tomb of Ariel was built by Ariel, the Demon of Dread. Apparently, he also constructed the Jade Palace for a breathtaking fiend whom he established as a queen. He also bestowed the ominous gift of forbidden knowledge upon her... whatever that implies. Ariel was called the Demon of Dread, he was also the Demon of Truth — so, he must have shared with her some horrific truths. "

...

>"Well, anyway. **The Jade Queen appeared to have quite the authority in the ancient past, presiding over the Jade Court.**She was renowned across numerous realms for her elegance and insight — so much so that many travelers sought to gain an audience with her, enduring the snow and ash. Not everyone endured the journey... and not everyone survived the Jade Queen's welcome, either. Apparently, she had a tendency of transforming those who gazed at her strangely into Nightmare Creatures. Well, some type of creatures, at least. "

3166 :

>Not all born in the Empire were equal. How could they be when there were gods walking among them? The Dragon sat on his towering throne, served by the Four Spirits - the Spirit of Victory, the Spirit of Beauty, the Spirit of Art, and the Spirit of Joy.

>There used to be six Spirits watching over the Empire, but two had perished in the war against the Jade Court - the only war the Empire had ever lost - while the seventh was said to have not been born yet.

>Below the pantheon of the Empire were the seven Supremes who managed its vast expanse and ruled over its provinces.

So I always thought the Jade Queen was Supreme. But we just learnt here that her and her faction killed two Spirits of the War Pantheon and gave them their one and only loss in their conquest.

Looks like there's way more to Aerial's adopted daughter than we originally thought. She was out here giving belt to ass. Could have she have been Sacred ?

Side Note : Funny how she was a monster that got turned into a Queen then her preferred form of punishment was turning people into ones. Did she despise her original form si much that she thought turning people into monster was the worst punishment imaginable ?🤔

I also like that we're actually getting to see lives that Sunny lived through. The bulky slave from the 1st Nighmare was unexpected but welcome. What is the novel equivalent of sonder ?
