Should I *replay* Control before AW2?

Probably the 100th post on this but all I can find on it is people asking if they should play Control for the first time before starting Alan Wake 2, but Control was the first Remedy game I played 4 years ago. My memory of it has faded quite a lot, I remember the gist of it, but what exactly happened I don't know anymore. I usually forget these things after a year or so of not playing.

I know it's a great game on its own, I loved my playthrough of it. But it took me 35 hours to beat. And I'm just about to finish Alan Wake 1, so I'll go on with American Nightmare after, so since I'm in an Alan Wake story flow, I don't really want to put that on full pause to replay the entirety of Control again.

I have avoided all spoilers of Alan Wake 2 since its release, I have no idea what it's about to be about. So my question is, can I go into it with my faded knowledge of Control, will that be enough? Or are the events so crucially linked that I really should replay it first?

I was planning to replay Control when Control Resonant gets officially released. I don't often buy games on release, I tend to wait for a sale or a couple of months before it's settled down in price. So I wanted to avoid replaying Control twice in a row.

Edit: I appreciate everyone commenting, but I must say, I love how split the replies are, really makes this decision easier 😂

Hiya, went to the barber today, and while I feel it's a big improvement already and I am satisfied with it, I do feel like it's not exactly what I was looking for. But that left me wondering if I can even accomplish what I want, or if my head shape and hair texture are working against me here.

Provided some images, the first one is how my hair was the day before the haircut. I had a mullet before, which I then cut short, which then grew out to this.

Second was right after my haircut.

Third is an AI generated image, which edited the first image with the prompt of giving me a burst fade. Wanted to see how it looked like. This is what I asked for initially. (It also gave me a little facelift, but I didn't ask for that, it just did it itself).

Forth is me after the haircut but from the front. You can see the sides are poking out a bit, my hair always does this when it's short. I have very thick hair where I don't want to have that, and very thinning hair on the front, which is why I style it messy like this, only thing that works anymore.

Then I added some inspiration pics after that which I also showed my barber.

Now I'm wondering, could I even pull off this sort of style? Or is the back of my head too narrow, like maybe I don't have enough space behind my ear for a full high burst fade like this? Could it be because my hair on the sides is too thick and the fade wouldn't work well if it was that small?

Again, I'm satisfied with how it was cut, but I liked the slightly more "edgy" vibe a high fade like that creates. I feel like my barber didn't actually give me a burst fade, but just a regular modern mullet shape fade. Any opinions?
