As I was planning to enter my car, I realized I couldn't unlock the doors remotely, at that point I assumed the battery is just dead on the key fob. So I had to unlock them manually by turning the key, I had to unlock the passenger side because the driver's side lock wont turn. As soon as I unlocked the door, the alarm went off. I instantly grab the attention of people passing by. I climbed over the center console into the driver's seat hoping the alarm will end, for a moment it did, but as soon as I turned the ignition it went off again. So I started driving with hazards on constantly and the alarm blaring as well. My drive home was around 12 minutes, but that felt like forever. I also passed a police cruiser, but luckily they didn't seem to care. When I got home I took apart the key fob and tested it, but I realized one of the mechanical metal plates holding the battery had lost it's tension, so I just lodged a gum wrapper in between to fix the issue.
