Moved into first house last year. 3 months after the barking started up at 7am and then for hours every day. I put up an ultrasonic dog bark stopper in November and it didnt work.
January neighbor started aiming bright lights at my house because I use my own lights that come with my house. Report both the dog and lights.
Neighbor takes down lights but dog barking stays the same. February I get cameras, start submitting complaints with time stamped video / audio. They ask for visual proof on the 8th complaint. I cant do that without invading privacy through a fence. I submit a video of a dog through the fence with barking a few minutes later. Nothing changes.
April I called the cops twice and they confirmed the barking locatiom but no report is written and cops say they cant do anything.
In the next several complaints I submit barking videos from all day until 11pm at night.
*Last Month neighbor on otherside of bad neighbor house with dogs put their house up for rent even with the dog being kept right next to them instead of saying anything.
This monday I submitted a video from 6:47am.
Today I got a video from 9am barking for 10 minutes.
No idea what to do anymore and the HOA Doesnt even reply to my requests nor replies to ARC requests to install cameras nor have I gotten an answer for an In person meeting.
Idk what to do anymore.
Edit: I did see that the HOA had new legal charges in the financials for about $3,000 in April and have since stopped uploading financial documents. The community is about 70 houses so not sure if its related.
My cousin wants the entire family to go without tickets at 5pm from Denton to Arlington for the Mexico game at 8pm today….. I am trying to tell him its bad but I have never been…
Edit: You guys are lame. It’s totally fine and is an awesome experience.

Hey everyone, I bought a house last year and neighbor got a dog a few months after. After 14 nuisance complaints with audio / timestamped footage sent to the HOA. The barking has gone down from hours every day 6am-12am to now a bit less. They have also moved the dog to the other side of their yard which probably is why the house on the other side went up for rent lol. My neighbor is still letting it out to bark for 1-2 minutes every morning waking me up at 7am-8am. Am I overreacting? What would you guys do? There is about 10 feet between houses lol….
Edit: My neighbors are huge assholes, and I am on the edge. I think all of you are wrong, and you should be able to enjoy your house without barking. Nor should you get earplugs other BS etc, you guys are WAYYYY too accomodating. If you get a dog and cant control its barking; get rid of it.
