Need advice on how to disassemble the Delonghi PAC EM82K.1

Dear community of r/hvacadvice

Today I attempted to deep clean my Delonghi Pac Em82K.1

I removed every possible screw I could find, but nothing from the outer casing would move at all except for the top display panel (and only slightly). I looked everywhere online, but could not find a guide neither by Delonghi or by other people on how to disassemble it.

Therefore I wonder if anyone here could help me figure out how to disassemble this unit so I can properly clean it, to make sure it functions as long as possible.

I have a suspicion that it is being held in place by very annoying and stubborn plastic clips. I tried prying open the top but to no avail.

I sent an e-mail to their customer support team and Delonghi responded and said "Warranty will be voided once the device is opened or disassembled" and also "due to safety reasons we will not provide instructions on how to disassemble this product".

Clearly this company is not very repair-friendly, beware of this when you are considering to buy from them.

Need advice on how to disassemble the Delonghi PAC EM82K.1

Dear community of r/Airconditioners,

Today I attempted to deep clean my Delonghi Pac Em82K.1

I just sent an e-mail to their customer support team but I am skeptic they will help me as this seems intentionally designed not to be easily opened ... So I am trying all possible avenues in advance.

Thank you

Buyers remorse - my experience with the SU-122V

Disclaimer: This is my personal experience. Your experience may differ. However, with a CC like QuickyBaby saying this tank is very strong, and a lot of the community thinking this tank is broken I want to shine a different light on this tank and prepare buyers for the difference between expectations and the reality that I experienced.

Firstly, the armor. The supposed big highlight of this tank.

Guys it is not that good. The stars need to align for you to be in a situation where this armor will shine:

  • Can't have enemies towards your side (you have almost no gun arc so the entire tank must turn to shoot + you have bad/mediocre gun handling and accuracy so you can't snapshot and expect to do well. You also often need to wait for the gun depression to kick in. Multiple opportunities for the enemy to shoot you before you can shoot them)
  • Must be given room to play by your teammates (not as straightforward as you'd expect, with a turretless TD and the current map design)
  • Must be hulldown, while using some of your gun depression (otherwise you're going to be penned easily. Your tank is very low so many heavies will be able to hit you from above and pen you. And your lower plate is paper.)
  • Must be at medium range (long range you will realize how bad your accuracy is. Close range you will be getting farmed in the gun mantlet)

Keep in mind you are a turretless TD sacrificing a good gun for this very situational armor.

While you have the camo to snipe and the mobility to reposition relatively well: You don't have the gun to back it up.

So you end up with a tank with an identity crisis. You can't snipe that well, but you also can't brawl that well. So what are you supposed to do? I haven't yet figured that out myself ...

Unless you specifically are very good at playing these clunky siege mode turretless TD's with a narrow gun arc, I would skip this tank. I regret my purchase.

Delonghi PAC EM82K.1. Considering a dual hose mod, but need help

I have a Delonghi PAC EM82K.1. Both A6 and A8 here are marked as "Air Intake grilles".

So, do I understand it correctly that I would have to cover both these parts (for example with cardboard) and then connect a hose to it?

This is everything I would have to do?

If it would be difficult to do with adding just one hose, because these parts are not in the same place, could I even add two?

My tiny "making it work" bedroom gym (9m²/97sq ft). Before and after working out.

3,5 years ago I really wanted to start training but my social anxiety disorder made working out in a gym really difficult. At first I didn't think my room was big enough for a homegym. But after a whole lot of measuring and research ... it turns out it is.

And I've been training here ever since.

I have my frustrations with it sometimes. It takes some time to set everything up (nothing that bad though!) and I need to be very mindful of my surroundings so I don't trip over anything.

But it's mine and despite it's flaws I love it. I've gotten quite strong training like this and training has been invaluable for everything else in my life too.

Really thankful for the brand ATX, without their superb equipment it would have been a lot harder to make a homegym in this limited space, while still being able to do so much.

Hope this post can act as inspiration for people in a similar situation to mine! If you need any tips on how to set up your own home gym like this just post it here or DM me and I'll try my best to help :)
