Can say I love reading the rhetoric that says its like inherently terrible to put up christmas before thanksgiving while putting up my christmas tree mid-october every year?
In my defense it takes at least 5 days to get all the trees set up and decorated and fluffed because I go slow and then until about Nov 1st or a little earlier to get the rest of the knickkacks planned out.

on the third day
the body betrayed me.

behind the stone,

before I had a word
there was only the knowing:
something quiet beneath my ribs,
something that would not answer
when they called for me.
then they gave it a name.
sin.
so I learned to make
a cross of myself.
taught my mouth
to make silence of its knowing,
kept my eyes lowered
from the body they might recognize,
and called each piece
I cut away
an offering.
I became very good
at burial.
but every third morning
the stone had moved.
there I was again,
wounded, breathing,
still refusing the shape
I had been given.
so I buried myself deeper.
again, the stone moved.
again, the linen empty.
again, this terrible miracle
of finding myself alive.
years later,
I found another name
for what would not stay buried.
a gentler one.
but some lessons
survive their gods.
some part of me
still stands before the empty tomb
and grieves
that I could not disappear.
God, I tried to be good.
I am sorry
I kept becoming.
Of course I am sure its different for every state and office, so take my question with the grain of salt it has to have.
But I was looking at a few of the state-wide systems after going down a few rabbit holes and saw at least a few states where their PD system is statewide and separated into regional offices that handle, outside of their metro's, an amalgamation of counties. (Colorado comes to mind as an example. I can't image working in the Montrose office and then seeing a blizzard and knowing you have court the next day across the mountain.)
This is more curiosity than anything else, but how does that work logistically for you? Like I am sure you bundle and block as many of your cases in one county to happen on the same set of days every week. But, again this is rank speculation, that can only do so much right? How are you not wasting your day traveling between spread apart counties? How do you make it work?

After watching a publically livestreamed bench trial I just wanted to see why a lawyer would recommend doing a bench trial over a jury. It just seems like it alleviates some of the government's burden (as in, it's easier to convince one judge to buy their case than to convince a unanimous jury of 12) without much observable gain. So are their reasons for going to bench over jury for your trial?
I am sure, at least sometimes, the answer is the client wanted it and its their constitutional right. But, of course, you advise your client on whether or not to go to jury or bench trial right (I assume that is something you have to advise them on), so are their types of cases or reasons why you'd ever recommend going to a bench trial over a jury? I am sure their are valid reasons for sure, but I am interested.
Am I the only one whose favorite parks in order are AK, Epcot, MK, Hs? I am sure I am not, but its not an order i've seen online lol.
For explanation: if you care. AK is vibes for me, plus I love the food there so much. I am a big foodie. While their shows and rides are limited, compared to the other parks, I love every single one of them so much. Not a single miss IMO. EPCOT is so high because I love world showcase. Again, food. Also I love a good festival. I enjoy the other part of the park (discovery, celebration and nature). Mostly because I'm nostalgic for things like living with the land. But not as much (hence second place). MK is fun! I love bits and parts of it for its theming and its rides. But the food isn't always great (for sure some hits, its huge, but by and large I don't find myself craving it). IDK why but I've just never found myself constantly in the magic there unlike when I am at, say, animal kingdom. HS is the only park I'm actively take it or leave it on. I think its fun. It has good rides and okay food. But by and large, outside of galaxies edge I don't love the theming and the rides are good but, with the expectation of a few hits, aren't usually worth the lines I see there. I will give it credit for the shows, love the shows. And I love the vibes at prime time cafe.
I came home to a cute little thing cowering under my ac. as far as I can tell it’s under 5 inches and likely to young.
hey what do I do. mind you it physically won’t let me get close enough to pick up without getting spicy with its claws, I don’t have a ventilated box and it’s 11 pm at night in a semi rural city.
any resources on what I should do to try to help the tiny thing out.
