Anyway to only take PARTS of the convergence mod instead of the whole thing?

I'm ready for the answer to be just flat out NO, but long story short I was wondering if there was a way to get separate elements of the convergence mod but not others.

I like the new weapons and the new summons and the summoning sickness mechanics and I'd love to bring those over to a regular run if I could. I won't comment on the rest of the decisions made for the mod, I'll just say they aren't for me.

(0.9n) (Spoilers) 38 days in, starting to think I'm not actually getting entities spawning.

The only entities I've consistently see are the cave ones and the mannequins.

I started my current save on (0.9) and updated to (0.9n), I don't know if it's just that I've been in the wrong place at the wrong time but I swear I can't find any entities.

I looked at the wiki for some of them just to see if they were just super rare or not but dang theres actually a LOT that didn't seem to trigger. Random ones AND story related ones.

No vent crawler, no Arirals events (aside from the picnic and tree house), no wisps, I saw the big pyramid guy but I guess there was suppose to be a much of smaller ones too? I found a big sponge outside but not whatever dropped it. I've also definitely have played for more than 6 hours in a row and I never got the censored guy either (I wonder if pausing counts?).

I've tried driving out to a red ping on the radar but it never seems to be anything there once I get there. Is it because I spend too much time outside?

Im trying to separate myself from my phone as much as I can by getting designated devices so I don't get distracted with notifications and general social media fuckery.

I already have a separate music player and it works great so now I want to do the same with writing. It might sound strange but I don't like writing on desktop, I've written hundreds of thousands of words using my regular phone with my phone touch screen. I don't need it to make calls or do anything other than write, and a physical keyboard would be an upgrade for sure.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Edit: don't need cell service or mobile data, almost work on stuff exclusively with wifi.
