X3800 and Stereo Music

After upgrading my fronts to Kef R3s, I decided to buy Topping B200 mono amps to get the full potential of my fronts. I have a satisfying setup while watching movies with 5.1.2 setup and a X3800h receiver. After getting R3s me and wife started listening to more and more music. I looked into getting a seperate dac/preamp combo to maybe improve music listening experience but as far as I can see it complicates the setup too much. I also plan to get a second sub as well.

I thought of getting a MiniDSP SHD, connecting R3’s to x3800 with rca and to SHD with XLR. I would connect my subs to SHD as well and from X3800 sub out to SHD as well. How would the calibration works in this setup? Currently I use Evo A1 Accoustix and perfectly happy with that. How would I do the calibration for the subs? If I calibrate the subs and fronts from miniDsp for stereo music, wouldn’t this oppose the calibration that Acoustics made for the subs on the Denon?

And lastly is it worth the effort, would I gain a lot using a better dac/preamp combo other than x3800h and complicate the setup too much?

I will buy second hand Kef R3 speakers from a seller and wondering how can I tell if there is something wrong with them. I have Uniq-1 mike which might help but don’t know exactly how can I use them to see if anything wrong with the speakers.

I was thinking of getting q7 meta but there is a second hand r3 with a good price, should I go with it? R3 is out of warranty but cheaper. My config is q6 meta, q350 as surrounds and a sub.
