20+ years of slow progression of sim racing.

Started off with some scrap wood and a Xbox wheel with the first forza game and the Xbox 360 wireless racing wheel. Then it was a fanatec Carrera wheel and the V1 clubsport pedals and iracing when it first launched. Then I went to vr and the fanatec csl elite wheel and the v3 inverted pedals. Now a fanatec dd1 with massive 43in triples and bass transducers with ambient lighting. If you would have told 20 year old me this would be what I would be racing on I would have told you no chance. Not sure other than going crazy and adapting a car interior or motion I have much left to do. But I know a rig is never done..... Time has taught me that much.

Decades old dream realized

Every since moving out of my parents house 20 years ago where I had my own "man cave" in the basement I been missing having my own space. 6 years ago we had this MIL suite finished out for our ailing Mil. Now that she has passed it has become my area to transform in my dream space. Spent the past few months building it out and painting. The sim rig has been a 15 year project that started out as a bunch of scrap lumber and and old volvo seat I'd roll up in front of the TV. Still have some things to finish, need a console under the TV to hold some retro gaming stuff, and the sim rig is always up for some upgrades, and maybe a bit more artwork on the walls. But for now I'm happy and I get to enjoy the space.
