Can someone explain the correct and orthodox position on this? A question popped into my head about Christs will and I’m trying to straighten it out so I don’t fall into error on this. Also, how can one fall into nestorianism from making an error on Dyothelitism? I looked online and I don’t really see many talks about it from Lutherans.
I’m reading through the book of concord now to see if it’s brought up there too.
First, I’d like to clarify that I’m a Lutheran. I don’t believe the sacraments are just symbols but that they actually deliver the forgiveness of sins and salvation. I also confess the ecumenical creeds. With that being said, I don’t know much about EO and your church body, outside of what I see on X from the “ortho bros” (yes ik I’m in a bubble lol). So I thought I would ask here if it’s actually true that EO as a whole views us Protestants like Mormons or JWs. Or that when we preach the gospel that Paul lays out in 1 Corinthians 15, or that Christ proclaims at the end of Saint Luke’s gospel, we do more harm than good because we aren’t a part of Eastern Orthodoxy.
I’ve cleared this mission area already but this marker remains. I went inside and it’s empty but it just sticks there. What’s it for?
