Wave management on top

what are you supposed to with the wave? On darius/pantheon (my mains) and many other champs when you win the lane you freeze and force them to either miss xp/gold or bad trades/death. On rengar I often get solo kill in first 3 levels shove the wave in and on bounce back the wave is too big to thin out and in many matchups even with double longsword back in a big wave I can't contest it

I've heard people say you're supposed to rush tiamat or it's basically unplayable (unless you're stupidly ahead or the enemy is stupid). I like how I'm able to not get perma shoved and poked down and how I can proxy the wave and go for a roam, but beyond that, since I'm not able to freeze I end up being on their half of the lane all the time, be it slow or fast, I end up perma pushing into them

This is very different from every other champ, cuz at least tiamat buying characters are able to contest the waves slow pushing into them

Am I just bad at trading when the wave is big or am I missing some crucial info?

Thoughts on dusk and dawn?

Ever since it came out I was wondering why nasus mains weren't picking it up. You have 0 ad scaling in your kit and trinity is literally one of the most expensive items out there, you can use the early ap to manipulate the waves better, you're still gonna be doing mostly ad damage, but it's gonna be more hybridised and it's gonna be harder to deal with, there's also built in heal like the old divine sunderer. Thoughts?
