Cozy mysteries like the “Her Majesty the Queen investigates” by S.J. Bennet

Hi everyone!

I absolutely adore the “Her Majesty the Queen investigates” by S.J. Bennet series.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some similar books like hers?

I have an interest in the British royals so if there’s something similar then that would be brilliant but that that’s not a necessity. I would however love it if they were set in the UK/Australia or Canada.

Thank you so much!

Why don’t people take our work seriously

Hi everyone

Summer break just started here and it’s like everyone around me expects me to be completely relaxed and energised.

Why don’t they seem to understand that this past year was absolutely horrific…. (One of my favourite coworkers passed away, admin majorly sucked and made some massive mistakes, kids with serious behavioural issues weren’t taken seriously which ended with me getting stuf thrown at my head,…)

I hate it so much that people seem to think we don’t need time to recover. I’m so annoyed that people think I’m grumpy rn but honestly, I can’t muster up the energy to be social right now…

Why don’t they understand we need rest

Hi everyone

Summer break has just started where I live, I’m (26f) a teacher so have time off until the end of august now.
I’ve had a rough year to express it lightly 😅 had to give lots of different courses, worked overtime, am renovating my house, a coworker I was close to passed away suddenly. And to top it all off I had a pupil with special needs whose mother didn’t want to acknowledge his difficulties which caused extreme chaos. This kid threw many items at me, had to jump out of the way a few times and unfortunately administration and student council weren’t helpful cause it wasn’t affecting them.

In the end the chaos from school caused me a huge vitamin D deficiency since I spent all my time working and cancelling fun things.

My point is, I’m absolutely exhausted, mentally and physically and am in serious need of real rest so I can find my footing again.

Due to my house not being ready yet, I still live with my parents. Both also have undiagnosed adhd and autism, but don’t seem to think I need rest. They just keep piling on and creating a very stressful environment. It’s like I’m not allowed to relax, I’m constantly in fight or flight and it’s so exhausting.

Why can’t they realise I need to wind down and rest. It feels like a crime to want to do absolutely nothing.

I hate this so much

Anyone else feel like recovery is an emotional rollercoaster?

Hi everyone!

In the middle of April I (26F) was diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency. I had 15 ng/ml.

I had been experiencing: a very low mood, anxiety attacks, crying constantly, exhaustion, injuries not healing fast or at all, constantly getting ill and never really recovering, loss of joy (as if nothing interested me), my adhd symptoms were also much worse, hair was falling out more, heart palpitations and my period was being weird.

My doctor prescribed me D-cure 25.000 I.E that I had to take once a week. Initially I felt a bit better, but this was also during a short holiday so the extra rest could’ve given me this effect as well.

After a month I was still feeling very tired and unmotivated at times so got retested. This time my levels were at 27 ng/ml. The doctor prescribed me another month of d-cure 25.000 I.E, once a week.

Now I’m a month later but it feels like my emotions are all over the place right now. Has anyone experienced anxiety or mood swings (anxious, crying at literally everything) as a result of taking supplements? I’m a bit confused with what is going on…. Has anyone felt like they were on an emotional rollercoaster during their road to recovery?

Anyone else have similar experiences?
