I currently have a 21mo toddler and am 20w pregnant with my second. I anticipate being at the hospital 1-3 days and im fully mentally prepared for that but the problem is my son absolutely needs momma to sleep at night. He has never stayed over anywhere, never slept alone with his dad and im really worried that he will just not sleep or just scream for hours. If he knows im there and his dad takes him to bed and lays with him he literally just scream cries 'MAMA!!!' and slams the door until i come in.

He will not wind down with his dad, he has never stayed at anyones house. He will nap witj dad when im not there and will nap with my mom when she watches him once a week so im thinking maybe it will be ok since im not there for him to know to yell for me? I want to prepare to make him more independent but he is very attached to me and we cosleep (I know everyone has opinions about it, to each their own). If I do prepare to make him sleep atleast primarily with dad should we trial me leaving the house for the night and dad takes over?

So to start he is peeing everywhere bc he keeps pulling his penis out of his diaper. I am at the end of my rope constantly cleaning up pee. I turn around and his penis is out. Wakes up from a nap? Penis out pee on bed. I put clothes on him but he keeps taking everything i put on him off. He is a slim tall toddler in size 5s so i dont think its an issue of sizing up. Tried to get him to go on the potty and he refused then peed on the floor. He then said "uh oh yucky" and tried to wipe it up with his hand. Uh oh yucky indeed. Bleh.

I then asked "where is pee supposed to go?" And then he pointed to the potty and said 'potty'. So he understands the association. He just has no interest. Do i just continue this cycle and clean piss off the floor forever until he cares about the potty? Im very lost and frustrated and wondering if it is too early but he is constantly peeing outside of his diapers and he will literally play in wet shorts he does not care.
