I bought HD560s and it changed my life.

I had been working with Sterling S452s and they're great don't get me wrong; great build quality, clear punchy bass, pretty good high end though fairly dull looking back, nice enough to wear for hours, etc.

BUT, giant but, enough to rival the taste of Sir Mix-A-Lot, the sennheiser HD560s have opened a new world to the human experience that is auditory sensation. I stroke my shit to pictures of mayonnaise. I can hear every instrument so clearly and I don't know why I didn't buy these sooner.

Well I do know, they're fairly pricey for a beginner, but I got them for 150 so all is well. Guitar Center has some good sales going on, but beware: the day after I bought them, the price went up to 195, so they're probably more expensive now.

TLDR; I made a great choice investing in my equipment and if you're just starting out, don't be afraid to spend a bit extra on high quality equipment, you'll absolutely feel the difference.
