I currently have a tooth that is almost completely broke at the gum line, with the middle being hollowed out lower than the gum line. Recently I have been having intense pain that radiates to other teeth. I’ve noticed it always started after or during eating and last for hours!! Really cold water alleviates the pain almost immediately. I’m really needing to know what could be triggering it because I can go hours with any pain whatsoever, but once it starts it is there for awhile. I have thought that surely it was food particles touch a nerve but I have water picked it out, I believe completely, and the pain is still there. Tylenol and ibprofen do not touch the pain when it is active, but again oddly I can go +8 hours with no pain whatsoever. I have no swelling or signs of infection but have started antibiotics out of precaution. Any suggestions or ideas will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
