1960s movie about a cat that dies

In the mid-1960s or so, I saw a childens’ movie at the theater in which a cat dies at or near the end. There is a little girl character, and it was a real tearjerker for a kids’ movie. I seem to remember that the cat was possibly orange. I went to see it alone, the theater was a 5 minute walk away, and would have been around 10 or 11 years old, so guessing at the year. I saw it not long after my own cat had died, and it was so sad to see that ending. I don’t remember much more about it.

Considering a Neck lift

I’m considering having surgery to correct a sagging neck. From what I’ve read, there is more than one procedure often done, skin tightening and some sort of muscle surgery. I’m trying to get more info and some real life insight into what the procedures are like, experience during, recovery, what to consider beforehand, what questions to ask the surgeon ahead of time.

Also, I’ve done searches on the cost of this type of surgery, and understand that different locations will have different fees, probably based on what the market will bear. I live near a fairly affluent area (half hour to an hour away)and could have access to those surgeons, or I could look for someone with good reviews closer to home and possibly less costly. How does one choose a surgeon for the best result, keeping cost in mind? I’m waiting to hear back from a surgeon in the high rent district to get back to me about a consultation.

I’m 72 years old, have lost some weight over the past few years, and am still losing. Should I wait until I reach my goal weight? I would love to have a complete FL but it’s not in the budget and at my age I don’t know if there’s any point.

Any insights would be appreciated. Two photos. Chin up, and what it looks like when I’m tipping my head down for my hair stylist. Oy.

▲ 18 r/dogs

I’m wondering if anyone has a behind-the-scenes look at dogs getting their nails trimmed and is willing to share. I take one of my dogs, who has black nails, to the vet monthly for trims. Another dog has light colored nails, but she seems to be wearing them down enough that they don’t need additional trimming except for the dew claws. I’m always afraid of hurting them with clippers.

I just adopted a third dog who has light colored nails, and needs a trim very soon. I have a dremel tool and have been trying to get all three accustomed to having their nails ground, but I may need a trip to the vet to get ahead of it a bit.

I’m wondering if the dogs get quicked often at the vet. I realize that if they are very overgrown, it’s likely, but in general? If it seems like it’s a relatively common occurrence, it would be just as well to do it myself. I don’t mind paying for the service ($23US) but it’s the trauma I’m thinking of.
Thanks
