So ik someone amazing person already called Penn and asked about their waitlist (shoutout to them) but I wanted to call them myself as well. When I did, the lady that picked up said that hey had been actively taking people off the waitlist since May 1st and I was like okay. But like I thought other people had called the office and had other people tell them that they hadn’t started taking people off and they wouldn’t start till mid May. Any thoughts on that?

Has anybody heard any actual confirmation about people getting off or is there still no movement? And if there isn’t, when do you guys think we’ll hear literally anything back

I’ve heard a bunch of the Ivy Leagues haven’t started using their waitlist yet and are waiting till a later time, with the exception of Cornell I think. Is if possible that they’re trying to start releasing them all on the same day or something? Similar to Ivy day

Idk really know what’s going on with my aid package but it still isn’t here. I got accepted into the school during the EA results, which was like January and I’ve yet to get my aid package. I’ve spoken to the financial aid office multiple times, both through email and calls, and everytime they say that they have all my documents that I need and they’ll have the package ready soon. Only for me to check my portal every once in a while and they are requesting a new document that they didn’t mention needing for the last 4 months. And I wouldn’t have a problem with them asking for documents if I would get an email saying that there needs to be added to my portal. The only way I find out I need a new paper is when I check it myself. Decision day is literally Friday and I really want to go there but I literally cannot pay $98k a year. I spoke with the office last week and they told me that they’ve received all my papers and that they would try to give me a package before May 1st but it’s also not guaranteed. And when I asked what I could do, they said I could just pay the $500 deposit fee and secure my spot. As of this morning, I checked my portal to see if I mysteriously received my aid, only for me to see that as of yesterday they needed another tax paper that I do not have. Is anybody else going through something similar and if so, what are you guys doing? I’d really love to commit here but at this rate I might just go to my state school.
