Are people still happy with WP Companion Animal Hospital?

I was connected to WP CAP when I was first fostering my dog, who I then adopted. Dr Megan was a huge draw, she was so good with our dog and clearly loved what she did. A few years ago she left and we stuck around, and started noticing some changes that were mostly about trying to make more money, but not a decrease in care quality. We have been diligent about consolidating our appts to avoid additional technician fees, avoiding upcharged services, etc. I suspected they may have been aquired and indeed on their voicemail box I just heard them referred to as "an Ethos veterinary hospital." Their team still seem great, but now that we've adopted a second dog I want to see if anyone else in the neighborhood has other thoughts about them.

Helping Foster Recover From Surgery, Beating Myself Up

I have a wonderful foster pittie right now who got pulled from our city shelter by the rescue I foster with. She's 3, dog friendly, loves to train, insanely adorable, and energetic. When we started fostering, we knew we'd have to get her through FHO surgery and recovery. She had her surgery about 6 weeks ago and I've been doing the best I can with her activity restriction and rest but she's just an energetic and happy girl. She has a huge prey drive so she pulls on walks (yes we've pivoted from walking her to just training her, walking her in our backyard where we can have more control). She jumps up on furniture probably at least once a day despite trying to block them/keep her on a leash to avoid it. We try to keep her separte from our other dog but they're obsessed with each other and sometimes manage to sneak in a little romp when my back is turned. I take her to PT every week, do the home exercises, massage, carry her up and down any and all stairs, etc but shes a young gal who wants to see the world and her recovery is just going slower than her recovery paperwork said it would. We've tried keeping her trazodoned out but it causes her to throw up a lot and completely forget her potty training somehow so we can't fully dose her.

I want to set her up for life and get her healing right but I feel like with all the missteps I'm completely fucking it up even with my best efforts. Has anyone else had a foster recovery from FHO or other orthopedic surgery? Were you able to nail it entirely and keep your pup on full rest or are these mistakes typical?

Diagnosed with asthma with symptoms beginning 1 yr into Entyvio

hi friends,

Anyone developed asthma after starting biologics? I've (33F) seen discussion about increased susceptibility to respiratory issues on Entyvio. I hadn't really noticed anything out of the usual after starting (it helped my moderate UC so f'n much) but 12 months after starting Entyvio (this february) I started having wheezing and coughing after exercise. It progressed from there, sometimes wheezing just when I woke up or when traveling. Albuterol helped as a rescue but not to fully get rid of symptoms. After having to go to the ER twice, I finally saw a pulmonologist who diagnosed me with asthma. My gastro (who is great) doesn't think it's related to Entyvio since it started a full year after starting treatment and doesn't seem to get worse after infusions. Pulmo also doesn't think it's related, though they noticed in my last several rounds of bloodwork that my erythrocyte levels had been "sky high." Anyone have anything similar to report or am I just an unlucky outlier who developed asthma as a full grown lady? FWIW I will fully take asthma over the hell of flaring.

I saw the last post about the incredible basque cheesecake at Amande and made the trip up from Ukranian Village and I gotta tell you: believe the hype. I have never had a cheesecake this delicious and balanced. To make the most of my trip I got the vanilla/classic, ube, and caramel. I also picked a gorgeous little passionfruit panna cotta and DAMN. The dude behind the counter who is at least part owner was so kind and excited for me to try his wares. The hot tip he gave me is if you order a full cheesecake ahead of time, you get a $10 discount.

If I had to choose between the cheesecakes, I'd say vanilla and ube were the standout. Caramel was great but honestly the extra caramel interfered with me appreciating that perfect perfect cheesecake ha! And the panna cotta is definitely going to be on repeat.

Pic 1: Full selection. For cheesecakes flavors they had (left to right) vanilla, milk chocolate, caramel, matcha. Passionfruit panna cotta and raspberry pannacotta bottom left
Pic 2: Kind baker putting caramel sauce on the caramel slice
Pic 3: look at them vanilla beans at the bottom of the PC. damn.
Pic 4: Unaesthetic passionfruit pc shot

Hello! I'm a regular old 30 minute run gal and about to take the leap into an intervals class to try and level up. I'm super playlist motivated and looking for one that'll help me not flop. I'll take any instructor, do you have any playlists that have shot you to the moon? My favorite genres are reggaeton/urbano, 2000s party anthems, remixes of classes (aka club bangers vibes) and haven't quite found the class I'm looking for... your recommendations most welcome to help a slow runner out!!!
