I’m retired. 65 and currently travelling around Thailand. I flew from bkk to Chiang Mai and now travelling back to bkk. Tickets were 100$ cad each way. Because of star alliance gold, I’ve got royal orchid lounge access and just got upgraded to better economy seat. Plus no waiting for check-ins. Bag drops etc.

Worth every hour in the sky to get 1m miles.
