How many travel myths do creators accidentally keep alive because everyone repeats the same thing?

We were told over and over that Holland America was “only for retirees” and a terrible choice with a 5-year-old. We made the trip anyway… and our experience couldn’t have been more different.
Have you ever made a video that went completely against the internet’s consensus?

Unpopular opinion: Holland America was fantastic for our 5 year old boy.

In April, we took our 5-year-old on Holland America Rotterdam to Norway, and it ended up being one of the best family vacations we’ve ever had.
Before booking, I saw a lot of comments saying Holland America is not the best option for kids . That wasn’t our experience at all. Our son loved Club HAL, the scenery was incredible, and months later he’s still talking about the fjords, waterfalls, and ports we visited.
I’m curious if anyone else has cruised Holland America with younger children. Did your experience match the reputation, or do you think Holland America gets unfairly labeled as being only for older travelers?
We also filmed the trip and put together a detailed review. It wasn’t sponsored, we weren’t paid by Holland America, and we have no affiliation with the cruise line. We simply enjoy sharing our family travel experiences. If sharing the video is allowed here, I’d be happy to post the link.

Every Pilot’s Family Fears This Phone Call… In 1965, Ours Got It

Every family that loves a pilot knows the fear that one day they may leave for a flight… and never come home.
In 1965, that fear became reality for my husband’s family.
Joan Merriam Smith was one of the most fearless women in aviation history — the youngest woman to fly solo around the world. My husband’s grandmother, Trixie Ann Schubert, was a pilot and writer documenting Joan’s extraordinary life.
The two women boarded a small plane in California.
They never made it home.
Their crash in the San Gabriel Mountains left behind grieving families, unfinished stories, and children without mothers. What still breaks my heart is knowing Trixie had written a letter to her children just months before the accident about the risks of flying.
Decades later, those words inspired the tribute song “Folded Wing.” written by my husband.
