We are planning to go from Packwood to Silver Falls trail head but google map says WA123 is closed?

We planned the trip to hike Mount Rainier and Cascades 3 months ago and my teenage son can’t wait to go there after he finishes his summer school. Now the wild fire and smoke! 😢
We booked hotels in Ashford and Leavenworth, planned to hike Mount Rainier and Enchantment next week.
Shall we cancel the plan based on how bad the fire conditions look now? We are flying in from Texas.

I got mixed information about it. We are planning on a trip to go hiking in the north and want to buy trekking poles but we were told TSA would confiscate them . Some say they allow them if the tips are blunt. AI says not allowed but we may get lucky. Which is it?

Looking for good general contractor for house repairs before selling. Not planning to upgrade, just fixing things including wall paper and paint, fence replacement, deck repair, bathtubs and shower repair.
I live in NW Austin near cedar park.

Like 3-4 hours drive apart, just by chatting over the phone?
