I haven't been banned myself, but I've looked at posts here and on Twitter regarding the grid ban glitch, and I have been getting a bit worried.
Hello. I am running EndeavourOS on my ASUS Q540VJ laptop. When I leave it asleep (with the lid closed) for a few minutes, when I come back to it and wake it up, it becomes very laggy and the CPU downclocks (throttles) to 400MHz for a few seconds, sometimes a minute. I am using GRUB as the bootloader, KDE Plasma as the desktop environment, and have tried many different fixes.
Turns out, it's a firmware bug with this specific laptop model (and maybe others). Any way(s) that I could potentially mitigate this downclocking issue?
To clarify, my laptop has previously had Linux Mint, Kubuntu, and Fedora.
