All the neighbors in my group chat are reporting $350 plus power bills for the last two months (July and August 2026).
Most bills in the $400 range; but some bills near $600 are being reported for a single month.

These are three and four bedroom houses and townhouses in the Kendall area.

I; as a homeowner don’t know whether to set my air-conditioning when I leave the house to 72 or 82° because it’s +90° outside. Won’t air-conditioning just run all day anyway?

What’s the advice for maintaining a more affordable climate (when you have three pets) while and my wife and I are at work?

This is the evolution of our living room. We bought this home in Miami, Florida in 2018 and opened several business and got lost in the grind. We finally contracted an amazing carpenter to create a build-in library/archive for our growing family. Equipped with a custom 14 sliding foot ladder and 20 feet of shelf space from floor to ceiling; as well as huge cabinets that run from wall-to-wall.

Looking to add a chandelier or hanging pendant, but not sure if it will take away or obstruct the bookshelf. Open to hearing some ideas and some unique chandelier options in the 3k-5k range if that would be worth it. Also open to any design or concept ideas as the entire space is 100% glass on both sides.

Really looking to turn this space out! Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed.

I went into chicken kitchen today and I watched the young lady remove the skin from my chicken and I told her that she could leave it. She obliged and made me a large deluxe. I thought it odd her measuring the chicken that she was serving me in a measuring cup given that chicken is not a liquid. One would think that a scale would be more appropriate; and accurate for whatever it is, they’re trying to accomplish. Leveling off the chicken with a cheap kitchen knife and watching it tumble out of the cup onto the cutting board doesn’t seem like a great sales tactic for repeat business. I get to the counter and all of the sauces they give me are half full and the skin is on my invoice for an extra $.99. I asked for two more sauces and those are also $.99.

I went and looked up some of the reviews and it looks like this has been happening for a while now. Where does this end?

Looking for a place to drop this guy off on a week day when my wife and I are unusually busy. Would love to know if you all know any places that would be a great place for him to run and leap and interact with other four legs
