Update: Kalpataru Immensa - Thane Tenant Discrimination Has Now Reached The Kids
Context
Thank you so much to everyone on Reddit who has shown support in the previous posts. It really means a lot. The situation keeps getting worse and now it is affecting innocent kids.
Guys this is the third update on the Kalpataru Immensa situation in Thane and it has truly crossed every limit. After the paid clubhouse rules and initial gatekeeping at the gym the society has escalated things badly. They have now started strictly blocking tenant families from all amenities and demanding money upfront. The worst part is they are not even sparing the children anymore.
Tenant kids are being stopped at the play areas, pool, turf, football ground, basketball court, cricket zone and swimming sessions. Owners children run around freely while tenant kids stand outside watching. Families are left trying to explain to their little ones why they cannot join the games or cool off in the pool simply because their parents rent here. It is painful to see the confusion and disappointment on the children’s faces. Some tenant parents are now having to protest on weekends after long tiring work weeks just to get their kids basic playtime and the kids themselves are starting to feel harassed and left out.
The builder apparently initiated this discriminatory approach and brought some committee members into confidence to enforce it across the society. They have begun distributing separate cards clearly labelled Owner and Tenant so security staff can quickly identify and stop the children without any hesitation. In some cases owner friends have even called to get the turf locked specifically so tenant kids cannot enter. This level of targeted exclusion feels completely unnecessary and cruel. Greed for money has now started affecting kids and I will not tolerate that.
Society registration is still pending but they have no issue creating these divisions and treating tenant families as outsiders in the community. A big thank you and respect to the owners who are standing against this discrimination and fighting for fairness. You guys are the real ones and we appreciate you deeply. But the toxic owners and builder backed group who want everything only for themselves and are happy to exclude tenant kids deserve to be called out. Their selfishness is destroying whatever community spirit was left.
Seeing the kids get caught in the middle of this owner versus tenant fight is truly heartbreaking. The discrimination has now reached a point where children are learning early that their family status decides whether they belong or not.
Future tenants please pay attention to these developments and think very carefully before moving into Kalpataru Immensa with your family. This environment is turning a supposed luxury project into a place of daily exclusion and stress. Walk away and protect your peace and your children’s happiness.

Third Update: Kalpataru Immensa Tenant Discrimination Has Now Reached The Kids

Update: Tenant discrimination at Kalpataru Immensa
Link to my old post: https://www.reddit.com/r/thane/s/O0w1dLHkZ1
After my last post while some people were supportive, some jumped on me in the comments calling it useless RR and telling me to stop whining and just talk to my landlord. Well while they were busy defending the society things have actually gotten even more disgusting here.
The society has now dropped a full formal notice effective 1st June 2026.
Only tenants are being forced to cough up 18000 for 11 months or 9000 half yearly plus 10000 refundable deposit + more money if you are family of more than 4. Owners get to enjoy the entire clubhouse pool gym everything completely free (since all the money will be squeezed out of tenants). This is on top of the already insane rents brokerage deposits and 5000 shifting charges they keep squeezing out of us.
They marketed this place like crazy during flat visits. Clubhouse pool gym open spaces everything was pushed as the ultimate premium luxury community lifestyle. That was the main reason many of us agreed to pay these high rents. Now that we have shifted in they have shown their real face. Tenants are suddenly second class citizens who dont deserve the same facilities.
On the very first day the gym opened even before any of us started protesting the staff were already standing there like gatekeepers asking every person Are you a tenant or owner and literally trying to stop tenants from entering. The discrimination was planned right from the beginning.
Some owners have actually been solid human beings. They raised their voice fought against this unfair bullshit and supported us. Massive respect to those people. But way too many others have turned out to be absolute toxic assholes. They shut down WhatsApp groups when tenants tried to speak up picked fights with us and one owner even sent this arrogant disgusting message you can see in the screenshot:
“You are tenants and be like it we have been owners since yesterdays we are seeing your messages and kept quiet we got frustrated as you are acting like an owner.”
Just read that again. Imagine paying massive rent every month like clockwork and still getting humiliated with this kind of attitude. It genuinely breaks my heart. We are not asking for charity. We are paying premium money to live here but they want us to remember our place every single day.
And the funniest part? Almost none of the actual landlords even knew about this so called resident meeting where they took this collective decision. Tenants were obviously not invited. A handful of people decided everything behind closed doors and now we are all supposed to accept it quietly.
There is still no proper grocery store. Everyone is surviving on Blinkit and Instamart for basic things. But when it comes to looting tenants with new fees and creating rules to segregate us they are super efficient.
This post is my social service. To every future tenant thinking of renting at Kalpataru Immensa please open your eyes. Dont get trapped by the fancy marketing and shiny photos. This place will treat you like temporary cash cows the moment you move in. Refuse to pay these high rents for second class treatment. Walk away and save yourself the daily humiliation and stress.
We are humans not cash cows. Enough is enough.
Tenant discrimination at Kalpataru Immensa
Rant about renting at Kalpataru Immensa because people deserve to know what they’re signing up for.
The way this place is marketed vs the way things are unfolding now are two completely different stories.
When people come for flat visits, all the “premium lifestyle” stuff is front and center:
clubhouse, amenities, open spaces, luxury living, community vibe, all that.
That’s what helps justify the already high rents here.
But after tenants move in?
Suddenly new charges and restrictions start appearing out of nowhere.
Now there’s a notice saying tenants need to pay:
₹18k yearly club membership
₹10k refundable deposit
GST extra
Meanwhile owners are not being treated the same way.
And this is on top of the ₹5000 shifting fees already being charged just to move in or out. Because apparently paying huge rent, brokerage and deposits wasn’t enough already.
So basically tenants already pay:
huge rent
brokerage
deposits
₹5000 shifting charges
maintenance indirectly through rent
…and now additional “membership” fees too, for amenities that were openly shown during the rental process as part of the lifestyle of the society.
And let’s be real, once this starts, everyone already knows what’s next.
People using amenities are obviously going to be checked:
Are you owner or tenant?
If tenant, did you pay the extra ₹30-40k?
That’s basically where this is headed.
Imagine living in the same building, paying massive rent every single month, and still needing separate validation to enter the amenities that were used to market the property in the first place.
It creates this weird second-class treatment where tenants are good enough to fill occupancy and support high rents, but suddenly become “different” when it comes to facilities.
And honestly the irony is amazing because basic convenience itself still isn’t fully there. No proper grocery store opened yet, so residents heavily rely on Blinkit and Instamart for normal day-to-day living. But instead of fixing things residents actually need, focus has shifted to extracting more money from tenants.
Also funny how society registration itself is apparently still pending, but premium fee collection systems are already fully active.
The atmosphere earlier genuinely felt open and positive. Now it’s slowly becoming:
new rule
new fee
new restriction
new segregation between owners and tenants
Luxury societies in Mumbai/Thane/Pune really love selling the idea of “community living” until it’s time to remind tenants that they’re apparently just temporary cash flow.
If anyone is considering renting at Kalpataru Immensa:
don’t just get impressed by the amenities tour. Ask every single question upfront and get all charges in writing, because what’s shown during flat visits and what happens later may end up being very different things.
