How a "We Will Be Reunited" teaser translation fail links to the Ignition Teaser, future thoughts and copium

In Story Teaser: We Will Be Reunited (the one where the Abyss twin is standing on top of a Ruin Guard), the Abyss twin says this line:

"We will meet at this journey's end... Once the dust has settled."

However, in Chinese, the Abyss twin actually says:

「在旅途的終點再見吧,哥哥...去見證一切事物的沉澱。」

Which literally translates to:

"See you at the end of the journey, brother …to witness the sedimentation of all things"

What actually caught my attention is that the Chinese text uses the exact same concept Mavuika references in the Ignition Teaser — not just in the sense of a regular "all", but specifically "all existence" or "all things" (切) (from my old breakdown). In English, this part of the sentence was translated as "Once the dust has settled". However, in Chinese, (切事物的沉澱) refers to a specific physical process: sedimentation — settling (as a physical process), or the sediment/residue itself (in a metaphorical sense).

In my past breakdown of the Agnidus Agate Gemstone, I already mentioned the term 灰燼 (Huījìn), which means the ash left after a ritual. Ancient Chinese treatises (such as the "Zhou Li" — Rituals of Zhou) describe in detail the highest type of state sacrifice to heaven: "Liao ji" (燎祭) (literally: burning sacrifice).

The actual process of ritualistically burning sacrificial meat, jade, and silk was called 焚燔 (Fénfán) — the concept I previously explained as a "burnt offering". In the game, this exact Chinese term is used for the talent level-up material series, which was translated into English as "Kindling" (something I’ve also touched upon before).

It was believed that the gods accepted the sacrifice through the smoke and aroma rising to the heavens. But once the fire died down, the priests would collect what remained on the altar: 灰燼 (Huījìn), the ritual ash. Depending on the type of ritual, it was either carefully buried in the ground or scattered over water.

What I'm getting at is that the Abyss twin isn't just using a common figure of speech like the English "Once the dust has settled". Instead, they are pointing to a specific moment when the twins will most likely meet: "See you at the end of the journey, brother …to witness the sedimentation of all things".

Now, let's put two and two together. The journey to Snezhnaya is officially the "end of the journey". This means that by the end of the 7.X version cycle (assuming the Snezhnaya storyline isn't stretched out for an unusual amount of time), we are bound to witness exactly what the Abyss twin is talking about.

The Teyvat Chapter is set to conclude alongside the end of the 7.X cycle. Interestingly, the Cryo gemstone, unlike the others, doesn't have any censorship in its description, even though we previously had a censored gemstone revealed with every major cycle. As the Teyvat Chapter draws to a close, the only remaining censored gemstone left is the Agnidus Agate Gemstone.

Therefore, the only logical conclusion is that the censorship on the Agnidus Agate Gemstone will finally be lifted during the 7.X version cycle.

The final versions of the cycle will have to be dedicated to the reunion with the Abyss twin and wrapping up the Teyvat Chapter, as the end of the journey is exactly when the Abyss twin promised we would meet.

There is a well-known proverb: "There is no smoke without fire." In our case, instead of smoke, we have the "sedimentation of all things" that the Abyss twin talks about. This sediment cannot just appear out of nowhere. There must be a preceding event that leads to its creation.

Just recently, while looking at the Chinese description of the Ignition Teaser, I discovered that a small part of it is actually a reference to a famous classical Chinese expression:

The Chinese expression is: 星星之火,可以燎原 (A single spark can start a prairie fire).

Meanwhile, the final lines of the Ignition Teaser description in Chinese read: 我們匯集於群星之火,見證這場角逐的勝負。

My literal translation: "We gather at the fire of the stars, to witness the outcome of this tournament".

Essentially, they took the idiom and simply swapped the word 星星 (which means "a spark" in this specific context) with 群星 (qúnxīng - "the stars"):

Before: 星星之火 (Xīngxīng zhī huǒ) — The flame of a spark / A single spark's fire.
After: 群星之火 (Qúnxīng zhī huǒ) — The fire of the constellations / The fire of the stars.

During my research, I also learned that in Chinese, people can be metaphorically called "stars". This applies not only to the entertainment industry, but to other categories as well. For example, it can denote professionalism and exceptional achievements — such as scientists, heroes, etc., regardless of how widely recognized the person is in society. Thus, elderly people celebrating a long life are called 寿星 (shòuxīng) — the "star of longevity". Another example is 克星 (kèxīng) — the "conquering star" (meaning someone's bane or nemesis); a cat, for instance, might be called the kexing of mice. Surprisingly, this concept runs quite deep into history and politics, as Chinese uses "stars" to describe those who lead, inspire, or shine with an inner light. Historically, it was believed in China that great historical figures were earthly incarnations of specific stars that descended to earth to save the people.

Therefore, taking all of the above into account, it is highly likely that the "stars" are a metaphor for the best people of Natlan. And the best people of Natlan are its outstanding warriors — which is literally how Capitano was portrayed the moment he sat on the throne.

It is also worth noting the errors in the English localization.

English translation: “Under the assembled stars' flames we gather, to bear witness to the triumphs and defeats of this tournament”

My translation: “We gather at the fire of the stars, to witness the outcome of this tournament”

First, the English localization translated "flames" in the plural. In Chinese, it is written in black and white that it is the single, unified flame of (all) the stars, not the individual fires of each star, which strongly implies the performance of a specific ritual.

Second, using the preposition "Under" was unnecessary, because that part of the sentence (匯集於) translates to English as "to gather/flock to." This is already included at the end of that line in English. So, in reality, the presence of "Under" distorts the meaning of the sentence — it was likely used just because it sounds poetic.

Third, and this is only halfway an error, 勝負 can be translated as a duel, match, contest, the outcome (of a struggle), or victory/defeat. However, note that the expression "victory or defeat" (which they adapted as "triumphs and defeats") was used in the plural, which is also incorrect. In this context, the expression only has a singular form. Therefore, in my opinion, to avoid struggling with the adaptation, they could have simply translated it as "...the outcome of this tournament".

The crux of the matter is that what the Abyss twin means by "the sedimentation of all things" can only occur after the Tournament in Natlan, where, according to Mavuika, the reward will be this very "all existence" (切) (referring to my old breakdown for a better understanding of the translation context, as I don't want to repeat myself).

If this final tournament in the Ignition Teaser is a sort of grand ritual where "all existence" itself becomes the subject, then it is only logical that the sediment (ash) of "all existence" can only appear after this storyline. Exactly in the same way that in historical chronicles, ritual ash always remained after sacred rites.

And here is the final discovery, which forms a perfect bridge between Snezhnaya and Khaenri'ah. Remember all my theories about how sparks in certain scenes indicate that the scene is from the future? Irminsul has already burned, proving that this theory is practically confirmed, since it was precisely in "A Winter Night's Lazzo" that we saw the sparks foreshadowing that it was a future event. And not a single other scene where they appeared has been disproven yet.

In the Story Teaser: We Will Be Reunited, there are similar sparks. I am not kidding. The scene with the Abyss twin's (Lumine's) memories of the cataclysm of Khaenri'ah uses practically the exact same spark effect as the Ignition Teaser, Mavuika's trailer, Xilonen's teaser, "A Winter Night's Lazzo", and the Sumeru Promotional Video.

Furthermore, it’s no coincidence that the English version includes a disclaimer stating it “contains spoilers" (plural). Similar to the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail, this implies the presence of long-term spoilers, much like the line "Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana". And if those memories are indeed one of those spoilers…

This effectively means they represent our future storyline. Since we are already actively interacting with Ronova, and Rhinedottir/Naberius is highly likely to join us soon, it is only logical to assume that "Time" and "Space" will also step into the plot toward the end of the Teyvat Chapter / the second half of the 7.X cycle. Therefore, exploring the themes of "time travel" or space-time paradoxes — no matter how controversial you might find them — becomes completely unavoidable.

And all of this seemingly aligns with the expectation that the Mare Jivari will be released around versions 7.4 to 7.7 (I wouldn't consider the final version, as it should be dedicated to the reunion of the twins / equivalent to a Dainsleif quest). Accordingly, Capitano damn well needs to get off his throne before the wrap-up of the Teyvat Chapter begins, because his involvement is literally painted right there in the Ignition Teaser. The Ignition Teaser will even turn three years old in 2027.

P.S. I still haven't cleared nearly all the 7.0 content (aside from the Archon Quest), so judge this independently of patch 7.0.

It looks like the future Ancient Name Mwongozo will belong to Paimon

To begin with, let’s break down the word Mwongozo itself.

In the Swahili language, the word Mwongozo comes from the verb ongoza, which translates as “to direct”, “to lead”, or “to show the way”. Official dictionaries give it the basic meanings of “guidance”, “landmark”, or “guidebook”. However, in a deep poetic and mythological context — and the Ancient Names of Natlan are always created in high style — this word has strong navigational roots. Historically, in East Africa, the only constant landmark in the night savannah or the open ocean was the stars. That is precisely why in elevated speech, the word Mwongozo is used as a standalone synonym for the fixed expression “Nyota ya Mwongozo”, which translates literally as “Guiding Star.”

In countries located in the Southern Hemisphere (Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, etc.; Swahili speakers; East Africa), the phrase “Nyota ya Mwongozo” (Guiding Star) referred to their own analogue of the Polestar, which cannot be seen in the Southern Hemisphere — the Southern Cross constellation. This constellation pointed strictly to the South Pole, and ancient sailors and nomads navigated by it. There is no main bright star in this constellation, so they navigated by the specific cross shape of the entire constellation, which was directed toward the South.

But now, let's look into the description of the Snezhnaya Ecology Teaser - “Laws of the Bitter Frost”.

>In Snezhnaya, those who brave the cruel cold follow their own laws of survival. Every road guided by the light of the polestar will, in the end, lead to the same destination.

As you can see, the Polestar is mentioned here. There is no translation error here, as the Chinese description also mentions the Polestar — 極星 (jí xīng). However, the Russian description (my native language) differs from all of the above, and not without reason.

If we translate the Russian description literally into English, we get this:

>“In Snezhnaya, those who dare to challenge the bitter cold live by their own laws of survival. Any path illuminated by the light of the guiding star will ultimately lead to one and the same goal”.

I have already had some experience observing that mistakes which may, for example, be present in the English version are absent in the Russian one and vice versa. For instance, the sentence that I analyzed in Chinese/English from the ignition teaser, to my surprise, contained no error in the Russian text. Also, once in the Natlan patches, the Russian localizers called Mualani the Pyro Archon, which was not the case in the English localization. From this, it can be concluded that the localizers still cross-check certain things with the Chinese language, even if most of the translation comes from English, or they even adapt it to the local flavor (but this is mostly the prerogative of ZZZ, where the Russian localizers absolutely kill it).

However, right here, the replacement of the astronomical "Polestar" with the poetic "Guiding Star" is an adaptation that has the deepest historical and cultural roots.

A short historical note: Before the invention of compasses, Russian seafarers — the Pomors, who for centuries sailed the harsh northern seas (the White, Barents, and Kara seas) — navigated exclusively by the starry sky. In northern latitudes, the Polestar is positioned very high above the horizon and, unlike other constellations, is visually absolutely motionless. It always points strictly North. The Pomors called it the "Prikol-zvezda" (hitched-star, tied up like a horse to a peg), "Severnitsa" (Northern star), or "Putevodnitsa" (The Guiding star / The Way-guide star). Without it, returning home from an icy storm was physically impossible. It literally "guided the paths" of ships. The exact same thing happened on land. Siberian pioneers and nomads blazed trails through the taiga and tundra, checking their course only by it.

In a surprising twist, motifs of Jesus Christ, specifically the Star of Bethlehem, burst into this article once again. With the arrival of Christianity in Rus' in the 11th century, Byzantine and biblical literature flooded the language. In Old Russian manuscripts, the image of the Star of Bethlehem emerged, which led the foreign wise men from the East to the cradle of Christ. In Slavic translations, this star was translated as "Guiding" (showing the way). Over time, these two images merged in the popular consciousness. The real, lifesaving Polestar in the heavens began to be perceived as the earthly embodiment of that very sacred, metaphorical "guiding" star sent by the sky for the salvation of lost travelers.

This expression was finally elevated to the status of an idiom by Russian poets and writers of the Golden Age (Pushkin, Lermonotov, Tyutchev, Nekrasov). In the era of Romanticism, it became fashionable to use maritime metaphors. A person's life was compared to a stormy ocean, while ideals, love, truth, or a loyal friend were compared to a "guiding star" that shines through the darkness and helps save one's soul from perishing.

Thus, it became established in the Russian language that "Guiding star" = "Polestar". The meaning of "Guiding star" simply began to be applied not only in an astronomical sense, but also as a literary device.

But now, let's return to the fact that in Swahili, "Nyota ya Mwongozo" translates as "Guiding star." It is funny that into Russian, this expression is translated from Swahili precisely as "Guiding star," and not as the Southern Cross constellation. Why is that, you may ask?

If we take into account that we are playing Genshin Impact. The developers have stated that they love to take something from different cultures, add something original of their own, and get the final product. Effectively, they took the exact same function from two different worlds — the Northern and the Southern, mixed them together, added some fantasy lore, and as a result, got a guide for the entire planet. After all, Paimon accompanies us practically both in the South of Teyvat and in the North, right? In real life, there is no single star by which you can check your position from any point on the planet. But in Teyvat, despite it being a planet, Celestia is for some reason visible from any point on the planet. And as we know, Paimon is connected to Celestia. Paimon is the best GUIDE in Teyvat!

In fact, if an Ancient Name were to be forged for her, “Mwongozo” would be the perfect way to describe her. Right in the description of Xilonen’s teaser, the developers explicitly wrote the main meaning of “Mwongozo” applicable to our game, and that is Guidance.

But why does she even need an ancient name to begin with? The answer is actually simple. To resurrect her if something happens to her in the Snezhnaya storyline. If anything happens to Paimon at this stage, the Traveler will turn to all the Archons just to bring her back. And any road leading us back to Natlan brings the return of Capitano.

Guys, I think I found confirmation for my theory that the fire with the white inner design is not an accident

Remember my notes here and here about how there is regular fire with a normal yellow-orange center, and then there's one with a white center? Well, I think I found a way to prove that the white color specifically inside the fire is a design choice the developers used to depict souls.

In fact, it was right under our noses the whole time. Even before you look at my GIFs, just remember how Seelies, Ashes, and Kuuhenka are depicted in the game. All of them are shown with a white, spherical center inside their bodies, which symbolizes the creature's soul.

Now, look at the first GIF from the "The Gods’ Limits" interlude teaser. Remember how Rhinedottir was conducting some kind of experiment? That’s not particularly important to us right now, because Ronova, while searching for Asmoday, killed everything alive in that place. And in place of that creature, its soul appeared. It is also depicted with a white, spherical core while simply resting on the ground.

But when Rhinedottir picked it up, the soul began to writhe, and that very white sphere yielded to the structure of the fire, as if breaking apart and pulsating in tandem with it! This is clearly visible at the end of the GIF. However, what's even more interesting is that we see blue fire surrounding the soul! Upon closer inspection of the scene, I noticed that the color of the soul's fire seemed to be trying to shift to yellow, but it apparently failed to do so.

Next, I’ve attached several images. The first two capture the exact moments when the color of the soul's fire was changing, while the remaining four are meant to provide contrast with a frame where this does not happen, proving that the blue color of the soul and the red background of the video didn't just blend together. This is noticeable even in the GIF itself, since the lower quality of the GIF format actually makes this subtle shift easier to spot.

And now, let's move on to the final point. I remembered that Mavuika’s teaser also features a showcase of fire. And this fire contains the color white as well! But furthermore, this soul successfully "ignites" its fire, unlike that soul in "The Gods’ Limits".

We already know that Mavuika’s teaser is also a sort of omen for the future, given the sparks at the end of the video. However, there is another detail that sets Mavuika’s teaser apart from all the others, and I only noticed it very recently. In all character teasers (or at least the vast majority of them), there is something akin to a 2D splash art (though mabe sometimes 3D) that matches the character's appearance on an in-game banner. Mavuika’s teaser completely lacks this. Was it even a character teaser to begin with?

In any case, this confirms that the white inner fire design is not just a random aesthetic choice, but a specific depiction of a soul being present within it.

Oh, and one more thing. I was rewatching Act V, and there was this scene… I’ll just leave it at the very end, alongside the frame from the Ignition Teaser.

What is this? Random coincidences again?

Maybe these really are just COINCIDENCES. But you must admit, it's highly suspicious. The track "Natlan" has an actual duration of 4:44. (A small spoiler for the next post; this track hasn't actually played in the game yet. And we will be breaking it down in detail). In the Snezhnaya trailer, right around 4:44, we are shown the design of the Dendro Gnosis for the FIRST TIME, which turns out to depict a HEART. And now, the 7.0 trailer is also exactly 4:44 long, which is where Ronova appears. What is this? Am I losing my mind? Or is this truly suspicious? Look back and remember what the developers did with Dottore and 347. It could be something exactly like that.

And does anyone know what 444 could actually mean?

u/Icy_Occasion_2706 — 20 days ago

The Ignition teaser is actually our next "Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana" moment (and we have undeniable proof)

Spoiler Warning: This article contains spoilers for the main Natlan Archon Quest storyline, Mavuika's Story Quest, and Sandrone's Story Quest / Flagship Event.

So, for the new players who have just caught up with Natlan, I want to declare that the events shown in the "Ignition teaser" actually foreshadow a future that hasn't happened yet — much like "A Winter Night's Lazzo" >!did with the burning of Irminsul!<. We call this the "Ignition teaser theory."

The most undeniable piece of evidence was Mualani's ability to use a camera. She only learned how to do this in version 5.8, whereas the Ignition teaser was released around version 4.8. You can check out the rest of the old but still highly relevant arguments via the link below.

But for everyone else, I actually want to demonstrate more recent evidence that literally leaves no room for skeptics. And it is just as shocking (the result of my work over the last 6 – 7 months).

The Legendary Tier of New Evidence:

  1. During Mavuika's Story Quest>!, we actually SEE the ball from the Ignition Teaser. Immediately after, Mavuika states that such a game used to exist in Natlan, but it was never used in the context of the Pilgrimage. Consequently, the ball scene in the Ignition Teaser could only happen after the meaning of the Pilgrimage was changed into a Tournament (competition) during Mavuika's Story Quest.!<
  2. The scene where Mavuika and Capitano meet takes place in the future because Mavuika SMILES when addressing Capitano. This is clearly visible when comparing scenes within the Ignition Teaser itself. Mavuika is always on guard when meeting strangers, which implies that by this moment, Capitano is no longer a stranger to her. >!This directly contradicts Mavuika and Capitano's first meeting (their duel over the Pyro Gnosis) in the Version 5.0 Archon Quest.!<
  3. In the Chinese dub of the Ignition Teaser, Mavuika literally references a line from the Travail Trailer. This heavily implies that the Travail Trailer foreshadows the events specifically from the time of the Ignition Teaser, rather than the plot of Version 5.3.
  4. The region's main theme, "Natlan"— which was performed by the Natlan Symphony Orchestra — DID NOT PLAY IN THE VERSION 5.3 ARCHON QUEST in any shape or form (neither as a remix nor as a shortened version). This completely breaks the pattern established for all other regions since the developers started composing these main regional themes.
  5. Mavuika is hiding something from us at the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, as one of the arena entrances remains locked to this day. (This suggests the future addition of a small new sub-area in this location>!, similar to Alain Guillotin's house added in Version 6.7 in Fontaine).!<
  6. During Mavuika's announcement of the Tournament's commencement in the Ignition Teaser, the Sacred Flame at the Stadium of the Sacred Flame burns significantly brighter compared to its current in-game state.
  7. In the Ignition Teaser, Kachina has seemingly overcome her shyness while being in full view of the camera. However, in one of the past events, she explicitly stated that she is terribly camera-shy. Even in the current dancing event>!, Barbara expresses concern in her voicelines that Kachina's shyness might prevent her from truly shining.!<
  8. A translation issue from Chinese where the true meaning of the phrase "This battle is for winners only. The champion... will take all" gets completely lost. In the original Chinese, it actually translates to: "This battle is for winners only. The ultimate (or the very last) champion... will take all."

Everything mentioned above proves, in one way or another, that Natlan has a planned continuation. But now, let's move on to the Eternal Speculation Lore Engine tier. While each discovery in this tier might not be enough on its own to prove that the Ignition Teaser is from the future, when you throw them all into the same basket, it becomes crystal clear that the developers have something massive in store for Natlan's future.

  1. The foliage in the time-rewind scene behaves in a very similar manner to the feathers in "The Gods’ Limits" teaser when Astaroth appears.
  2. In the descriptions of the Travail Trailer across most non-logographic languages, a deliberate typo in the chapter titles is consistently maintained: "Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana" and "Incandescent Ode of Resurrection" both feature an intentional double space.
  3. The chronological order of scenes in the Ignition Teaser is deliberately scrambled. The actual timeline is as follows: The meeting scene between Mavuika and Capitano (the invitation to the Tournament); The scene with the ball and the warriors; The final scene, which still has no clear explanation; The scene on the arena at the Stadium of the Sacred Flame; and The scene with the "time-rewind effect," which loops us right back to the meeting between Mavuika and Capitano. Yes, you can literally loop the Ignition Teaser.
  4. In the Ignition Teaser, during the meeting scene between Mavuika and Capitano, Capitano literally starts walking in the exact opposite direction of where he was originally heading after Mavuika finishes speaking (her invitation to the Tournament).
  5. You can actually see a phlogiston trail left behind by Mavuika in the final scene. This has never happened before in the game.
  6. The Sacred Flame in the Ignition Teaser, which burns much brighter than usual and swirls around, closely resembles the Sacred Flame from the "Sunset" animation>! at the exact moment Mavuika leaps 500 years into the future.!<
  7. The line encrypted in the Teyvat alphabet right below the Natlan chapter title in the Travail Trailer still has absolutely nothing to do with current in-game reality.
  8. The number of heartbeat-like thuds heard in the Ignition Teaser before the logo appears is exactly 52. This is a clear reference to the myth of the creation of the Fifth Sun in Aztec mythology and the "Binding of the Years" ritual.
  9. The sounds of a cheering crowd — despite no spectators being physically present or visible at the Stadium of the Sacred Flame during Mavuika's Tournament announcement — are most likely the voices of a massive gathering of souls>!, which, according to the Lord of the Night Kingdom, are capable of making sounds.!<
  10. The strange size and design differences of the fires on the Stadium of the Sacred Flame arena in the Ignition Teaser compared to their current in-game appearance.
  11. For some reason, Mavuika’s Chinese voiceline in the Ignition Teaser features a specific wordplay involving "spark" and "Mars" (the planet/god of war).

Hopefully, I haven't forgotten anything important. In any case, the overly far-fetched copium findings were omitted.

...Wait... wait a minute... IS THAT THE BALL FROM THE IGNITION TEASER?!

I hope I am not the only blind one who just noticed this now. At the very least, I haven't seen anyone point this out before. But this literally confirms that the ball we see in the Ignition Teaser was used in the first renamed tournament. And Mavuika literally says before this scene that she hasn't played this game in a long time, meaning it wasn't used in the Pilgrimage before. (We literally didn't see such a stage in the Pilgrimage that took place in 5.0, which means that in principle, there has never been such a stage with a ball before). The only difference is that the ball in the Ignition Teaser features some markings from each tribe, unlike the one in Mavuika's Story Quest. After this, it is simply impossible to even doubt that the Ignition Teaser takes place in the future.

This is from Mavuika's Story Quest.

u/Icy_Occasion_2706 — 1 month ago

It is possible that Mavuika's constellation foreshadows the plot (similarly to Mona's), and also the developers already directly called Capitano a hero

This is a short post, it's just interesting how the name of Mavuika's C5 constellation reflects the sentence in the Agnidus Agate Gemstone description that has not yet been spoken.

I have also always wanted to find a direct mention of Capitano as a hero, but as far as I remember, it is nowhere explicitly stated in the game, only implicitly. In his teaser description, Capitano is clearly implied to be a hero. Also, on the last picture, I attached different translation options for one of the two symbols responsible for the concept of "hero". It is funny how the wordplay with hero/brave works in Chinese almost exactly the same way as it does in the Arabic meaning of the word "hero" (excluding the part about the champion). Only here, the meaning of "flower" is added, which fits all too well with the entire theory related to Mistilteinn.

And I will add that the second symbol can also be translated as "male". The remaining meanings of the second symbol are not particularly interesting.

The mystery of the ignition teaser is close to being solved, and something tells me I’m getting closer and closer to the truth (made some crazy discoveries)

This is going to be a very long theory, but... I promise you'll leave in high spirits.

(Images of the 6 strong warriors touched by the ball were supposed to be here, but it turns out you can't attach more than 20 images to a post like this.)

We are shown how the ball touches the six strong warriors of Natlan: Mualani, Kinich, Citlali, Xilonen, Iansan, and Chasca.

You might argue about Mualani, but think about it. Why doesn't Mavuika announce the tournament herself? There are several reasons for this.

Firstly, the ball could be a form of some ritual where Mavuika herself cannot participate. We know for sure that what is probably the final tournament is due to take place very soon. In this light, it makes sense to determine the participants for it. In any tournament in any literary work, there are two options for choosing the main participants. Holding open qualifiers. Anyone who meets the minimum basic parameters can express a desire to participate. Whoever is better in the qualities that are the object of the tournament's competition advances further, all the way up to determining the main roster of participants. Or inviting a certain circle of individuals who, due to some reasons/qualities, are chosen (in theory, the participants should be able to decline, since participation in a tournament is voluntary in 99% of cases) as potential participants.

Secondly, Mavuika might simply be busy with something at that moment. We will return to my version of the Ignition Teaser more than once, and it actually aligns with this assumption. Mavuika is indeed busy with something. Since we will come back to this a bit later, for now let us just note the fact that she is organizing and preparing everything necessary for this tournament.

Thirdly, considering the two facts above, we can well add a third indirect one. If all of this is related to the tournament and the selection of participants, as we already know from the Pilgrimage and the first Tournament that took place (during Mavuika's quest), the Pyro Archon cannot be a participant.

Thus, we can well argue that Mualani is still a participant in a certain ritual conducted with the help of the ball.

Let's analyze two factors. Firstly, why is the ball the means by which the Tournament is announced, and secondly, by what principle did the ball choose whom to hit?

The ball. Mualani cannot know where it will fly when Kachina throws it with all her might. Just like anyone else who throws it further down the chain. That means, on one hand, for each individual, its movement looks like absolute randomness. But now look at who it flew into after Kachina threw it: Kinich, Citlali, Xilonen, Iansan, and Chasca.

Six damn Ancient Name holders!? What is the chance that five times in a row, after Kachina, everyone the ball touches will be a Ancient Name holder???

There is an expression that perfectly fits the world-building of Genshin Impact:

>“Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action.”
Ian Fleming

The last part in the modern world is often replaced with “...Three times is a pattern.” What can be simultaneously considered an enemy action, a pattern, and a coincidence in the lore of our world of Teyvat? Well, the "fate" system fits this description perfectly. Why an enemy action? Because Phanes imposed "fate" upon Teyvat. It is not something that belonged to the original world of Teyvat. Moreover, numerous factors indicate that Phanes is effectively a prototype of the Demiurge from Gnosticism in our real world. Why a pattern? Because the "fate" system is the highest form of knowledge in Teyvat at the moment. According to the originally embedded concept, every living being originating from the world of Teyvat must submit to this system. The fate of every creature is predetermined from the start, and since fate obeys the rules of this world (Logos, Life, Death, Space and Time) while maintaining a stable connection between phenomena, processes, or events (recall Mavuika's words about why the Pyro Gnosis disappeared — this is a manifestation of the cause-and-effect relationships of fate, proving that "fate" obeys "rules." Meaning the "fate" system did not depend on Irminsul), fate by definition is a pattern. Why a coincidence? Because coincidences are just patterns, but unrecognized ones. Any coincidence has an objective cause hidden from the observer.

So, the ball acting as a "selector for a specific circle of individuals" makes it the perfect candidate. All its actions will seem like random coincidences to outside observers, but in reality, it will be the disguised choice of the "fate" system. And this leads to another reason why Mavuika cannot participate in or announce (initiate the ball ritual for) the tournament. She has already cheated her fate a total of two times. First, during her time travel. Second, when Capitano "sacrificed" himself. How can "fate" choose someone who has slipped off the system's radar and, according to all the system's data (prophecies), should be considered dead (especially if we add the fact that the Pyro Gnosis currently does not exist in Teyvat, meaning fate has absolutely no reason to even assume that a Pyro Archon currently exists)? Exactly, it can't.

Knowing everything I wrote above, it is now interesting to ask: by what principles did "fate" choose these people? And actually, as soon as I answer this question, everything will fall into place, and you will no longer be able to look at the scene with the ball without thinking, "This is fate choosing the strong warriors who will take part in the Tournament."

The answer actually lies on the surface. Each chosen strong warrior is the strongest current representative of their tribe. Let me let you see this for yourself:

Mualani (People of the Springs): She is a recognized veteran and winner of past Pilgrimages, who has already proven her strength in the Night Warden Wars within the Night Kingdom. In the game's lore, she is called the region's greatest guide, emphasizing that there is no place in Natlan where Mualani couldn't break through. Her exceptional mastery of the Hydro element and combat skills on the waves make her the undisputed and strongest combat vanguard of the People of the Springs at the moment.

Kinich (Scions of the Canopy): His status as the strongest is confirmed by the fact that he was the only one who managed to single-handedly clear the deadly Ancient Ruins of the Saurians, where some members of the expedition died and others retreated. Moreover, he is the only human capable of using pure willpower to keep an ancient, selfish dragon deity — K'uhul Ajaw — under control, turning him into his weapon. Possessing immense survival experience and having once been the sole remaining fighter on the front lines in the Night Warden Wars, Kinich is canonically the most dangerous and resilient warrior of the Scions of the Canopy.

Citlali (Masters of the Night-Wind): She is the greatest shaman of her tribe. It is canonically recorded that she has lived in Natlan for over 200 years without aging. Her centuries of experience in commanding the powers of the Nightsoul, her ability to create incredibly powerful barriers, and her skill in sealing spatial anomalies make her an unreachable pinnacle of strength and wisdom among all the Masters of the Night-Wind. She also possesses incredible knowledge in the realm of souls.

Xilonen (Children of Echoes): She is the greatest master smith in Natlan. Her superiority is confirmed by her unique ability to engrave and forge Ancient Names for other heroes — a process requiring immense endurance and phlogiston manipulation that literally drains one's life. Possessing unmatched Geo power and ironclad authority, Xilonen is canonically the strongest warrior and protector of the Children of Echoes.

Iansan (Collective of Plenty): She possesses anomalous physical strength, easily handling heavy weights that adult warriors of her tribe can barely lift. She is a respected figure in her tribe whose strength is never questioned but is instead seen as an object of emulation. Everyone looks up to her. She has won the Night Warden Wars more than once.

Chasca (Flower-Feather Clan): A peacemaker whose strength is capable of curbing conflicts between different tribes. She adapted the power of the Abyss to serve her own benefit. This allowed her to regularly win the Pilgrimage and head into the Night Warden Wars, never losing to the Abyss.

It is logical to choose the strongest heroes of modern times to perform in the final, decisive tournament. Even though we do not fully know all the principles of how "fate" works, at least in this specific case, its own choice of the strongest heroes from each tribe is obvious.

And this aligns with what Mavuika says in the arena:

“The tournament will soon begin. My dear friends, take your positions. Embrace your competitive spirit,  and give your all! This battle is for winners only. The champion… will take all.”

And for accuracy, my version, a translation from Chinese where I tried to bypass the translation difficulties:

"The battlefield is only open to winners. The ultimate (or the very last) champion... will receive the entirety of existence."

The tournament was clearly intended only for those who are:

Mavuika's friends (those she can trust).
Winners in life. Mavuika literally says: “This battle is for winners ONLY.”

A fairly narrow circle of people fits these characteristics, even within Mavuika's own inner circle. From the Archon Quest, we know that the heroes have always been close to Mavuika, especially those who were part of the 500-year plan to combat the Abyss. We know for certain that Mavuika was personally acquainted with the seven heroes of the past: Sundiata, Tupac, Wanjiru, Menelik, Sanaj, Burkina, and Tenoch. This is due to their personal participation in Mavuika's plan and the inheritance of their Ancient Names in the future (except for Tenoch). And since all the chosen heroes of modern times received the memories of the heroes of the past during the awakening of their names (the 5.0–5.1 plot), it is logical to assume that they are now the closest to Mavuika. Mavuika herself now has nothing to hide from them, which is why the deepest bond — the power of friendship — must have formed between them. Literally.

This explains why Mavuika addresses someone in the arena as “friends.” It is because all the participants can, one way or another, only be those whom Mavuika herself knows. Otherwise, it simply makes no sense to address everyone as “friends” if not all those present are on her friends list. After all, the word “participants” exists for that.

Let's deal with the remaining characters. These are Citlali and Capitano. Citlali was chosen by "fate," but she was no longer a part of Mavuika's plan. However, Citlali had an age advantage of about +150 years over everyone else, and she also loves alcohol very much. And considering how often she interacted with the others in various quests thanks to the Traveler, it's just strange to think they aren't friends. Moreover, Citlali truly worries about Mavuika. We could clearly witness this in Mavuika's quest (when she became deeply worried that Xbalanque was returning from the world of the dead), as well as in the climax of the Archon Quest 5.3. She was the one who guessed that Mavuika had deceived everyone (when everyone was celebrating Mavuika and the Traveler's victory over the Abyss), and she was the one who insisted that Mavuika must have her own desires and opinions apart from her position as the Pyro Archon. I think that is enough to be Mavuika's friend.

With Capitano, things are a bit different. In the current iteration of the plot, we cannot say for certain whether Capitano is a friend to Mavuika. He is definitely a reliable ally (independent of his position as the First of the Fatui Harbingers). The problem is that one cannot have a friendly relationship with a "dead man," and Capitano was only called a hero "posthumously." Yet, at the same time, we have direct proof that in the Ignition Teaser, Mavuika definitely looks at him as a friendly figure. And it makes sense. Because if some event occurs that returns him to a living state, the entire glory of his heroic deed by that time will have already become an actual legend known throughout Natlan. If it is an honor for Mavuika to help and be a friend to "Tumaini," what is the difference with Capitano? Exactly, none. They are both legendary heroes and automatically Mavuika's friends for that reason. It's just that Capitano became one "posthumously" — that is the only difference — but once that is fixed, the relationship between Capitano and Mavuika will become just like the one between the Traveler and Mavuika now (recall how she tossed the Pyro Gnosis to him).

So, we have finally finished analyzing all the strong warriors invited to the tournament. Now, following my order of the Ignition Teaser, let us move on to the most mysterious scene with the lights. From this point forward, we will no longer see humans in their normal form, except for Mavuika herself (excluding the time-rewind scene).

https://preview.redd.it/jmsiof0h2ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=34fd3932e019f54764252ba9a8cdaf6be7d5ac01

If you look closely, we observe how six lights displaying ancient symbols first rotate around something like a core (or a heart?). At the least, we can clearly see the outline of some spherical object inside and fire around it.

Up until now, we have seen nothing of the sort in the main plot. However, in Simulanka, an object vaguely resembling a sphere was the relic in the quest to find a protector. It was depicted in the shape of a three-dimensional star. So far, I haven't been able to see anything more here, so let's move on.

https://preview.redd.it/wbew4uyk2ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=4588218de7b7ee70ae357c0de697dd39d5857d16

The next interesting point. Where the 6 lights line up into a hexagon, we can clearly see the ancient symbol of each tribe on each light. In the design of the current heroes, these symbols are absent; however, we can see these symbols in the design of the heroes shown in the “Sunset” animation. Do you see where I am going with this?

https://preview.redd.it/yvhh9l0n2ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=5b67c9e2f900046be4cf92258dc001932babb8be

For some reason, Menelik is depicted with only half of the tribal symbol

In this scene, Mavuika says:

“Did you catch everything? What our eyes see ought to be our fate. But now, close your eyes and feel… For with our blood… we will forge our true fate.”

Personally, I see only one option for what we are witnessing. Mavuika is utilizing or awakening the souls of those six heroes: Sundiata, Tupac, Wanjiru, Menelik, Sanaj, and Burkina. Why this might be possible in the future will be explained a bit further on. For now, let's move on to the scene in the arena of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame.

Since we have already discussed Mavuika's lines, let's now pay attention to the surrounding view of the scene.

The first thing that stands out significantly is the absence of spectators. Any tournament in Natlan always gathers a lot of spectators, especially those held at the stadium. This time, we don't see anyone except Mavuika and the strange lights.

https://preview.redd.it/14wsp3n33ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=fbfc8aecf00e87380bcaa9b6b3daff3dcb0d85d6

Previously, I thought of this as a purely technical and stylistic choice — they only needed to animate the playable characters, and because of this, they cut out all the NPCs (meaning the spectators in the stadium, at the very least) in the teaser. But the Snezhnaya trailer has raised a profound question as to whether that was truly the case.

https://preview.redd.it/o8fpx5683ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=4555a0bbf40c84fd64ea1933fa07828092f55ebd

https://preview.redd.it/ng3f7on83ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=d0ec5e0af25ec7e5e5744e7662380bf5db9dc8b0

https://preview.redd.it/kdn97d593ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=0aac3df6b01a4cf102f9ca493cb83029ecee2a43

Because it animates a huge number of NPCs who are not playable characters. Even in the Fontaine teaser, you can both see and hear the applause of the audience during Lyney and Lynette's performance.

https://preview.redd.it/faoxk6x93ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=23b258f8ff8e76ab3f992355f1ad1cc8fa5ed407

After that, you can't help but wonder how the hot springs of the People of the Springs can be empty (aside from Kachina and Mualani), and how not a single spectator can be seen in the stands of a clearly extraordinary tournament?

If you listen closely to the sound design at the moment when Mavuika speaks in the arena, you can still hear something like the excitement or sounds of a large crowd (1:23 1:31 1:45 in ignition teaser), similar to what happens at football stadiums in real life, mixed with the sounds of fire. This is especially noticeable if you listen separately to the track "Night of the Sacred Flame" (the Ignition Teaser OST), where this noise cannot be heard.

But this begs an obvious question. Where are the spectators then, if they can be heard? And you know, I have a brilliant answer to this question.

A gathering of souls can make sounds. Recall the reason why Capitano didn't sleep for 500 years. The sounds of the souls inside him.

And this fits INCREDIBLY well with Chasca's words: “The tournament… I wonder if she’s watching?”

And it is also INCREDIBLY similar to the sounds present in the theme music for the Dottore boss fight in 6.6 and in the music of Wanderer's trailer(?), and as we know, they are connected to SOULS, since both Wanderer and the 6.6 version of Dottore are linked to Irminsul. It's just that in our case, we are hearing a vast number of souls simultaneously gathered at the stadium, which has turned their distinct, characteristically recognizable whisper (I don't even know what else to call this sound) into the loud roar of fans, which no longer sounds as much like the individual voices of souls in the aforementioned materials. On top of that, they are drowned out by a loud Mavuika and the teaser's own music.

It turns out that the souls of the people must be somewhere within the arena during Mavuika's speech.

If you listen very closely, the sound of the crowd of souls roaring is only heard 1 – 2 seconds after the scene begins. This rules out the possibility that the crowd of souls was there from the very start. Otherwise, the audio in the scene would have instantly begun with the sound of the crowd of souls. And do you know what else happens at that moment? Mavuika and the mysterious lights were heading toward the stadium. This means the loud sound of numerous souls must somehow be connected either to Mavuika or to one of the lights that ignite in the arena (while the Sacred Flame begins to burn brighter and differently). Or, of course, it could be connected to both.

If we recall from my theory that Mavuika is definitely planning to utilize the souls of the past heroes in some way, and this is 100% required for the tournament, then it makes sense that the current participants must also take on the form of souls.

And now let's look at the structure of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame.

https://preview.redd.it/g8l25z404ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=2b3835632fe0dfb6489469eae32c0b80099743fe

For each entrance, there are two bonfires/places for fire. And next to the Pyro Archon's seat, there are two more bonfires/places for fire.

If we sum up the discovery related to the sound of the souls and Dainsleif's words from the Travail trailer about the VICTORS (meaning, in other words, about Mavuika's friends or the tournament participants). I have already proven the connection between the Ignition Teaser and the Travail trailer earlier.

Here is this specific line: “The rules of war are woven in the womb: the VICTORS SHALL BURN BRIGHT, while the losers must turn to ash.”

It turns out that the souls of the VICTORS must BURN BRIGHT. And in the arena, there are places for lights that are not burning before Mavuika arrives. Meaning they are not occupied by ordinary fire.

https://preview.redd.it/9a8odmgu4ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=9abbeb081056f07d38f40288e3ac23949e54321a

At the same time, when the places for the lights ignite (after the distinct sound of the crowd of souls), every single one of them burns very strangely for two reasons.

Firstly, it is the size of each flame. I have already made an article on this topic, but I will briefly recount it here.

https://preview.redd.it/v7his6q25ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=f750ca16f94e2e4075e4a0af06cc84467ec18867

If you are very observant, you can notice that next to each entrance (and the Pyro Archon's seat), one flame always for some reason burns higher than the other. This happens next to each entrance (and the Pyro Archon's seat).

Secondly, it is the style. We were shown ordinary fire behind Mavuika. It has no white elements inside the flame.

https://preview.redd.it/2mrzeg055ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=7802adb929215fba21d278761effdea01f40374a

But those lights that ignited in the spots next to the entrances (and the Pyro Archon's seat) have a clearly drawn white internal structure within the fire. And you know what else is white in a human? Bones.

https://preview.redd.it/pbe7ljd65ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=e416043c9bd037839c91ace356446cdbf451602f

https://preview.redd.it/gdm2ohs65ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=bd5c5e054f21a23d4f651843ce1f2236d87482d8

If we count, there are 5 entrances + 1 Pyro Archon's seat, and next to each, there are two places for lights (6 * 2 = 12).

This means the tournament participants are definitely: Mualani, Kinich, Citlali, Xilonen, Iansan, and Chasca.

Most likely, the ancient heroes will also take part, since it was their fire that burned just as strangely, with a clearly drawn white part of the flame, and moreover, their lights were small: Sundiata, Tupac, Wanjiru, Menelik, Sanaj, and Burkina.

Based on this, we can argue that the small burning souls are the heroes of antiquity. The large burning souls are the heroes of modern times.

And now, let us use the process of elimination. Out of all the determined participants, we only have Capitano left. But there is also only one free spot left — the Sacred Flame itself. And it also begins to burn unusually; I have already written about this before.

Let's recall the Wheel of Tona and its description translated from Chinese:

>A stone wheel of complex design. In its very center, the symbol of the saurians of Natlan is carved. In its shape and structure, it is completely identical to the Tablet of Tona, which is revered in the Temple of Pax. They say that the Tablet of Tona is inextricably linked with the Sacred Flame. It symbolizes the unbreakable unity of the people of Natlan, the saurians, the Sacred Flame, and the Pyro Archon. Therefore, when making offerings, the circular structure in the very center of the stone wheel makes a full turn. This embodies the struggle and tempering that all tribes go through during the collection of the Sacred Flame.

https://preview.redd.it/4vfzc7695ych1.png?width=1918&format=png&auto=webp&s=6223e4f3aabf2434cd39dc6103e41e81950f3d69

And now I will remind you that this thing is a circle. That means it has a center. And what a coincidence that the symbol of the Saurians, with which Capitano already has a certain connection, is located right in the center. If we think logically, the very, very distant ancestors of the Saurians were dragons. And their leader at that time was Xiuhcoatl. In Aztec mythology, there is a very interesting god—Xiuhtecuhtli. His name in the Nahuatl language translates to “Turquoise Lord” or “Lord of Fire.” I won't go into details because the most important thing about him is that he is a sort of embodiment of the Axis Mundi (World Axis) concept in Aztec mythology. And there are quite a few theories surrounding Capitano suggesting that he will definitely be connected to this concept in the future in some way due to a symbol resembling the heart symbol in Nahida's design.

https://preview.redd.it/9pmyqnea5ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=f81b4b1c40e1e9f54ad961f690da9ec3a1391ea9

But in Natlan, the counterpart to Irminsul is the Night Kingdom, the formal owner of which is Ronova, though it is currently effectively controlled by the Yohualtecuhtin, Lord of the Night, with whom Capitano's soul has merged.

In essence, it can well be argued that the analogue of the center from the pattern of the Wheel of Tona in the stadium itself will not be the center of the arena, but the brightest flame, which was once possessed by the dragons and Xiuhcoatl — meaning, the place of the Sacred Flame. And this is the only remaining spot in the arena.

https://preview.redd.it/cf1fa6yg5ych1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=ce29cf4e02e03e3640921756bbe877fe8c0185ba

However, something will 100% happen to Ronova in Snezhnaya. Why? Listen to Chasca's line once again:

“The tournament… I wonder if she’s watching?”

Why does she even ask such a question, when everyone in Natlan knows about the existence of the Night Kingdom, where the souls of deceased people reside? This question is illogical in the current plot, where the souls of the dead are definitely found in the Night Kingdom.

The only logical conclusion is that some previously established fact, by the time of the Ignition Teaser, lost its validity due to certain events. Hence this uncertainty in Chasca's question; it is not known for sure, but there seems to be a significant, tangible chance that her sister will be watching her.

And Capitano is completely directly connected to the Night Kingdom through the merger of his soul with the Lord of the Night.

Let's put it this way, there is one question I can explain, but this theory is already too long. It is very simple: Where did the rest of the ordinary people go? Just take it as an axiom for now that all the people of Natlan (except Mavuika) had undergone a ritual of burnt offering by the time the tournament began.

This gives us the answer to two questions at once: where did so many souls in Natlan come from that they create a roaring crowd noise at the stadium, and where are all the remaining living people?

This is still logical, since all the tournament participants are burning souls according to Dainsleif (the victors), while the rest of the people are likely ordinary souls. And Capitano could have very well absorbed them into his heart, since the Night Kingdom could not receive them due to some event involving Ronova prior to the start of the Ignition Teaser that we don't know about yet, which somehow impacted the Night Kingdom.

That is, the sounds of the crowd of souls in the arena scene of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame are the sounds of souls from Capitano's heart, as it is capable of absorbing and preserving them. Most likely, Capitano will undergo the ritual of burnt offering along with everyone else before the tournament, but the heart itself will not be able to burn right away for two reasons. Firstly, his heart is not human. It could very well be made of some highly durable material (for instance, an analogue of a refractory metal from our real life) that will not simply burn away. Secondly, Ronova's curse will still prevent Capitano's consciousness from disappearing in his current vessel until the very last part of his body (the heart) is destroyed, but the fire will be precisely what cannot destroy it. (It goes without saying that even if the heart were theoretically destroyed, the soul would still continue to exist, and the body might even regenerate because of the curse. Recall Skirk's quest).

P.S. Guys, I don't believe in such coincidences, but the comment that HoYoverse manually hid from me with a 99% probability and then restored — "33+41 days until the resurrection of Il Capitano" — adds up to 33+41=74 days. And 74 is the atomic number of Tungsten in the Periodic Table.

TUNGSTEN IS THE MOST REFRACTORY METAL OF ALL EXISTING ON EARTH.

If you have any questions, suggestions, or additions, please write them down! I still intend to write something similar again, as this is a rewritten theory, and some of my thoughts from the first attempt haven't been voiced here yet — they just didn't fit into the context of this specific part.

TL;DR: (THIS IS A SUMMARY, BUT IT IS A SPOILER FOR THE ENTIRE POST): >!In Natlan, a burnt offering of the nation takes place before the tournament begins. The Night Kingdom cannot receive the souls formed as a result of the burnt offering due to an event unknown to us that affected Ronova, and the rules governed by "death" changed in a way unknown to us. This allowed Mavuika to summon the souls of the heroes from 500 years ago so that they could take part in the tournament. Capitano, like all residents of Natlan, underwent the ritual of burnt offering, since he is a tournament participant, and he also absorbed the souls of ordinary mortals with his heart to preserve them. His heart will not be able to burn in the fire because it is not human, and Ronova's curse of immortality will prevent Capitano's consciousness (mind, soul) from completely dissolving in the depths of the fire. The roars of the spectators that we hear in the stadium — while physically not seeing a single person in the stands — are the souls making sounds inside Capitano's heart. Since his physical vessel in the form of a body is gone (only the heart remains, which cannot burn), there is simply nothing to conceal the sounds they make inside the heart. Therefore, we hear the spectators in the stadium, but we do not see them.!<

I actually managed to turn the ignition teaser into a loop and unexpectedly, it made the teaser more logical

First, I would like to ask you to watch, and only then read the post.

So, now I will explain why this order is much more logical.

Let us start with the Capitano scene. Why did I put it in first place? The answer is quite simple and logical, and I came to it a couple of months ago when I was playing around with editing. If the tournament takes place during the day, it makes no sense to invite Capitano in the evening/night of the same day (after the tournament). Thus, this scene can only take place before the tournament has started, that is, in the evening (early dawn?) of the previous day before the tournament begins. Out of all the scenes we see in the Ignition Teaser, only the scene with Capitano is in the evening (or morning?). Accordingly, the meeting between Mavuika and Capitano takes place before all subsequent scenes, since all other scenes clearly happen during the day on the day of the tournament.

Next comes a general scene where we are shown the characters from Mualani to Chasca, each touched by the ball. The scene is in the daytime, and chronologically it definitely takes place before Mavuika enters the arena of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. And now think about it. It is strange that in the original order we watch Mualani proclaim the "announcement of the upcoming tournament, through Kachina's ball throw", and in the very next scene Mavuika says that the tournament is just about to begin soon.

It sounds like a certain time skip has occurred, where for Mualani and everyone else the tournament is supposed to start in the near future (a few hours?).

For Mavuika, however, this event, in my opinion, should happen in the next few minutes. She literally says "friends, take your positions", whatever that means, and we will return to this, but not in this post.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to determine whether this time skip was a day or several days long. Therefore, I will take it as an axiom that the time skip did occur, but around a few hours of the day when the tournament will be held. Precisely so that the difference in the perception of the event horizon of all other characters and Mavuika in the arena would align. (Roughly speaking: For everyone, the tournament should start in the next few hours -> a time skip of those exact few hours -> Mavuika invites her friends to take their positions in the arena).

And now mentally (although you have already seen it in the edited video) insert the most mysterious scene from the Ignition Teaser into the place of the time skip. Why should this scene be there? There are actually several clues:

First of all, even here, for Mavuika, the horizon of the tournament's start looks further away than in the scene in the stadium arena. It is as if these are the necessary preparations for the tournament. She literally declares that it is "Time to burn again", implying that this has not happened yet and is about to happen (keep this in mind).

Secondly, one of the main clues has been right in front of us all this time. It is the light from the gates/entrance. This is an obvious clue that outside at this time it is daytime, and in its full swing, because the light is very bright. Naturally, the developers did not want to render the entrance area since that would be a spoiler for where it takes place, but they at least left a clue in the form of bright daylight outside the room.

I have mentioned before that I believe this scene does not take place in the Mare Jivari, and there is one proof of that. If you listen very closely, an echo can be heard in all of Mavuika's actions, even if a very distant one. By all laws of physics, such an echo means a very large but enclosed space, which the Mare Jivari is not.

Thirdly, if viewed in my order, these sounds resembling a heartbeat align into a single progressive line. Each time they are heard louder and louder. During the entrance in this scene, you can literally hear 3 distant beats. Next, we begin to hear a series of about 20-25 beats of moderate intensity.

And we smoothly transition to the scene in the arena, where we hear those same heartbeat-like thuds. Here they are heard with the greatest intensity. This entire sequence ultimately looks as if Mavuika has unleashed some ancient power from the most hidden and secret corner of Natlan, which had been waiting for its moment.

This is exactly where the very thing that Mavuika calls "Time to burn again" in the previous scene happens. We watch the Sacred Flame flare up much stronger than usual. I already noted in an old post how much this resembles the Sacred Flame during Mavuika's time travel from the "Sunset" animation. (Therefore, it is even more logical to place the time-rewind scene after the stadium arena scene).

In addition, I also noticed that at the end of the scene presenting all the key figures of the region, we are shown a close-up of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. And there we can still see the Sacred Flame burning in its normal mode (we can notice a blue flame at the bottom of the fire itself, whereas in the intensified mode in the arena scene, the blue part of the fire is already missing).

If we keep the time-rewind effect after this scene, it allows us to perfectly loop the edited Ignition Teaser. For this reason, I believe the stadium arena scene should be the second to last one, since it is followed by the "time rewind" scene.

Generally, it is a rather common trope to end a season or some important part of a story right before the very start of a tournament. Therefore, I will not be surprised if the true end of the Ignition Teaser is the tournament arena scene, and the time-rewind effect was added to allow looping the teaser with the proper arrangement of the scenes. (I do not diminish the fact that the time rewind must still mean something on its own.)

I only remembered at the very end that the cover of the Ignition Teaser is precisely the scene of the meeting between Mavuika and Capitano, which serves as yet another clue that this scene should be the first. And also, notice how similar the style of the flames is in the most mysterious scene and the arena scene. Given my post from two weeks ago, there simply must be some kind of connection here.

Various Suspicious Finds

I finally have some free time. Today, I will write about various unrelated findings, each of which is suspicious in its own way.

The first find is related to Zhongli's voiceline. To be honest, I have nothing to comment on here, except that this is the third selectable and seventh consecutive voiceline. However, the phrase proves that Capitano simply cannot have an ordinary sword.

The second find, although it has rather been lying on the surface the whole time, is related to the Tona's Disc, which I made a post about. The NPC standing nearby explicitly states that the pictogram is a phlogiston engraving created by ancient Natlaners, an imitation of the primitive language.

And here, this NPC explicitly declares that in ancient Natlan, people used this language to communicate with phlogiston and the Sacred Flame. This is a little-known fact, since nowadays, phlogiston engraving has been replaced by graffiti.

That is to say, the Sacred Flame must have or once had some form of self-awareness after all.

He also explicitly states that with the help of the Sacred Flame, natives can establish a deep connection among kinsmen in the flame, with Saurians and the Pyro Archon. We have actually already observed this in the 5.1 storyline.

That is to say, my copium about Mavuika communicating with the Sacred Flame one way or another in this post (in the final scene of the Ignition Teaser) might not even be copium

The third find is related to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame itself. It turns out there is a closed door in it. Moreover, this door is not somewhere inside the stadium. It is the near-left exit to the stadium arena (if looking directly at the Pyro Archon's seat). But that is not all. In the Sunset animation, we literally see that there was a passage there in the ancient stadium! Why was it closed now? Is Mavuika hiding something? Because in her trailer, opposite this door during the eclipse, the strangest shadow of all those observed there was right next to it. Furthermore, at the end of the trailer, one can notice that three exits to the stadium are open or missing, but this specific exit still remains closed.

The fourth find is related to the chessboard in the Snezhnaya trailer. Or rather, not to the board specifically, but to the entire frame. Look closely. How many pieces are involved in standard chess? 32 pieces in total, 16 for each player. Now count how many pieces we see in the frame. There are 34 in total; on the Tsaritsa's side, there are 16 — just as it should be. On Rhinedottir's side, there are 18 pieces. This is impossible in standard chess, but as we know, the Tsaritsa has never played standard chess. We also know that the Pyro Gnosis is currently absent from Teyvat, and Capitano is effectively in a state between life and death.

Capitano is literally, metaphorically, neither on the board of active players nor on the list of taken pieces.

The Pyro Gnosis is literally, metaphorically, absent from Teyvat. It literally cannot be either on the board or off the board.

And if these two pieces suddenly appeared on the Tsaritsa's side, balance would return to the game. It would be 18 vs 18 pieces.

The title of the first act of the seventh chapter....Are you serious!?

What are they going to talk about for the rest of the time if the main act of the region will be released in the first version of Snezhnaya??? Mare Jivare trust.

As of February 2027, another astronomical event occurs, serving as a huge foreshadowing, besides the solar eclipse

I think it's already no secret for you that on February 6, 2027, a solar eclipse will occur, which will create an antumbra.

But I have a new find that is just too suspicious. 13 days after the eclipse, we will see another astronomical event which is a magnitude rarer than even the eclipse of August 12 with all the coincidences combined. On February 19, 2027, an anti-record aphelion opposition of the Sun and Mars will occur.

And before continuing, let's explain some necessary terms for further understanding.

What are oppositions anyway? This is when the Sun, Earth, and a planet of the outer circle line up in a single line. Outer planets are considered to be those whose orbit is located further away than Earth's orbit. In essence, the main condition for the occurrence of this astronomical event is the Earth being between the Sun and the planet on the same line. If a planet's orbit is closer to the Sun, Earth physically won't be able to find itself between such a planet and the Sun. And these are precisely the planets of the inner circle: Venus and Mercury. They cannot enter a state of opposition with the Sun that we would be able to observe from Earth. But the orbit of the outer circle planets is located further than Earth's orbit (in relation to the Sun), and therefore we will be able to observe this phenomenon when the Sun, Earth, and Mars/Jupiter/Saturn/Uranus/Neptune line up in one straight line.

What kinds of oppositions are there? They can be aphelion or perihelion. What kind of opposition it will be depends on what position the planet enters opposition in — at the closest possible point to the Sun (perihelion) or the furthest (aphelion) on its orbit. Planets have an orbit, and precisely the closest point to the Sun on it is called the perihelion, and the furthest is the aphelion.

What happens? At the moment when three celestial objects line up in a single line, the light from the Sun, flying past Earth (since the Sun is about 109 times larger than Earth. This looks roughly like comparing an apple and a grain of salt), hits the planet opposing it. The planet reflects this light back to Earth, and thus this planet begins to look much brighter than its usual state from Earth's point of view. And precisely such planets can be better seen only during the dark time of day, since the Sun at this moment shines on the opposite side of the globe.

Now you have figured it out and can understand what the aphelion opposition of the Sun and Mars means. But why is it an anti-record one? From an astronomical point of view, a record (the best result) would be how close a particular planet was to Earth at the moment of opposition. And an anti-record is when it's the furthest away. And right now, this exact aphelion opposition of the Sun and Mars will be the MOST anti-record one of the 21st century. That is, the furthest. The next similar opposition is projected only by the year 2074.

If we speak in numbers (but to me, these numbers seem unimaginable), the last record perihelion opposition of the Sun and Mars of the 21st century was on August 28, 2003. Mars approached Earth at a minimum distance — only 55.76 million kilometers. The last anti-record occurred on March 3, 2012, when the distance was 100.7 million kilometers.

The aphelion opposition of the Sun and Mars will set an anti-record — 101.42 million kilometers, and this anti-record can only be surpassed by a new opposition of the Sun and Mars in 2074.

It is logical that Mars will look…..literally like a spark, since this is the furthest opposition. The outlines of the planet will be impossible to see without specialized optics, but even in it, it will look like a barely distinguishable circle with a size of only about 9 arcseconds (0.0025° degrees). But at the same time, the light of the Sun reflected by Mars will still shine brighter than most stars in the sky, its brightness will simply decrease to +0.3 magnitude. It will look like a dense, non-twinkling orange-red spark.

And now… we will move on to the coincidences. This was just a prelude.

Well, first of all, I won't deny myself the pleasure of quoting Mavuika from the ignition teaser (and naturally, this is my more accurate translation from Chinese, which I have already broken down):

>It is time to reignite... No matter how tiny the spark, it will eventually be noticed

Even if we take the official translation and remove the error with the number of the word “spark”:

>Time to burn again... Even the tiniest of spark will not go unnoticed

This sounds too suspicious. And if we also remember that in Chinese, a spark and Mars are the same thing….. This is already too suspicious for a coincidence.

And we continue! The next crazy coincidence… This astronomical event occurs in the CONSTELLATION OF LEO!!! Again! Again, it's the constellation of Leo! Once again, a rare astronomical phenomenon occurs in the constellation of Leo! For those who are not in the loop: The eclipse of August 12, 2026, will also occur under the banner of the constellation of Leo. I have already broken down how suspiciously well the constellation of Leo fits Capitano, so we won't dwell on this.

Damn.. I just discovered that literally within the next 24 hours, on February 20, 2027, three different astronomical events independent of each other will occur for the Moon… and all of them will fall on the same day…

First of all, this is the day of the full moon — this is an astronomical phase in which the Earth is located strictly between the Sun and the Moon.

Secondly, this is the day of a supermoon. That is, this is the moment when the Moon has a full moon and at the same time the Moon passes its perigee (almost the same as perihelion, but only for the Moon, since the Moon does this much more often — once a month).

Thirdly, this is the day of a penumbral lunar eclipse. (Do not confuse it with the solar eclipse of February 6, 2027. Yes, as it turns out, we have TWO eclipses in February). This is an astronomical phenomenon when the Moon passes through the outer, faintest part of the Earth's shadow (which is called the penumbra).

Interesting fact: any February full moon is called the “Snow Moon”. If what I described in point two occurs, this astronomical event is called the “Snow Supermoon”. And these names came from the traditions of Native American tribes of North America.

They gave each full moon of the year its own resonant name, which helped to navigate the seasons of the year and described the nature around. February is traditionally considered the coldest, harshest, and most lingering winter month, when the most snow falls. Due to heavy winter conditions, blizzards, and a lack of resources for hunting, some tribes also called this February full moon the “Hunger Moon” or the “Purification Moon”.

So, returning to the opposition of the Sun and Mars. There is one last coincidence that will allow me to end the article on Jesus again. It's truly funny, no matter what I am doing — translation, lore analysis, astronomy, etc. — in the end, I finish with Jesus.

Have you already heard from me about the Star of Bethlehem? To put it very shortly, this is the star that, according to legend, pointed out the birthplace of Jesus Christ to the Magi. The story is not important to us for now. For many years, there have been debates about what the Star of Bethlehem actually was. And so far, there are three most likely versions:

  1. Conjunction of planets (Kepler's theory): Jupiter and Saturn (or Jupiter and Venus) came so close to each other in the sky that for people on Earth they merged into one super-bright point.
  2. A Nova or Supernova star: A flash of a dying or newly born star. It could shine brightly for several weeks and then completely disappear.
  3. In the ancient Chinese chronicles "Book of Han", a bright "broom star" (comet) is described, which moved slowly across the sky in the spring of 5 BC.

Each of these theories has a place, but we need Kepler's theory. From the short explanation, you should have already understood that the Star of Bethlehem was very bright. But the main question, in fact, was why did the star stop? If it was formed by planets, the star would move. The answer lay in the optical effect of the retrograde motion of the planets, when for a few days they literally "freeze" on the celestial sphere at the so-called station point before changing the direction of their path. It was at this climax that Kepler found a strict scientific explanation for the biblical phrase "the star stopped over the place where the Child was".

The Earth moves in its orbit around the Sun faster than the outer planets. When Earth begins to "overtake" them on the inside track, for an earthly observer, the planets visually slow down their movement, stop, and then begin to move backward. Before changing normal motion to retrograde (and vice versa), the planet visually comes to a complete stop among the stars for a few days. Since a whole group of planets was involved in Kepler's theory, their station periods overlapped each other. For the Magi, who had reached Jerusalem and Bethlehem, it looked as if the brightest planetary conjunction, which had been moving across the sky for a long time, suddenly froze at one point in the south, right above their destination.

(You can skip this paragraph.) Interesting fact: why did the Star of Bethlehem shine so brightly in the first place? Jupiter and Saturn by themselves are among the brightest objects in the night sky. When in 7 BC they approached each other at a minimum distance, their luminous fluxes for an earthly observer practically combined. A little later, Mars joined them. Three bright planets formed a close, shining group that stood out sharply against the background of ordinary constellations and looked like a single powerful light source. But that's not all. Kepler himself did not believe that the planets were just shining next to each other. From the point of view of modern astrophysics, planets cannot ignite a star, but they could be in the same line of sight with it. A Supernova explosion is a colossal blast of a dying star, in which its brightness suddenly increases billions of times. Such a star releases so much energy that it can shine brighter than an entire galaxy and become distinctly visible on Earth even during the day in full sunlight.

Well, and finally, the thing for which I was explaining all this. On February 19, 2027, during the opposition of the Sun and Mars, it will be possible to observe the exact same retrograde motion effect of Mars. At this moment, Mars will already be “moving backward” relative to its usual motion. In general, that's all for astronomy for now.

Guys, I have found not only a new irrefutable proof for the ignition teaser theory, but also something VERY strange!

First of all, it's worth saying that there are actually two irrefutable proofs. But these findings are not even the most interesting thing I discovered. Let me present them first.

The simplest and least interesting one. The first two pictures, the scene of the main entrance to the stadium. As you can see, in the ignition teaser, two rows of bonfires lit up, but in the game right now, the second row (the lower one) is not burning.

The second proof is much more interesting! The third and fourth pictures. Views of the Pyro Archon’s seat. Look at the small fires near the throne. They burn with a pure orange color, but in the game, they burn blue at the bottom and only turn orange higher up. I took a comparative screenshot, as close to the angle from the ignition teaser as possible, to show that if we were looking at the old fires, we would see a blue glow at the bottom of each of them, just like in the game. But we see something completely different!!! There is no blue flame at the bottom of those two fires! And the only conclusion that comes to my mind here is that these are different fires. At least not the ones that burned there before, until the events of the ignition teaser took place.

And now for the most interesting part! The fifth picture, and all the subsequent ones. In the fifth picture, I drew straight blue lines using Paint to make it easier for you to notice and visually compare how much bigger one fire is compared to the other near each entrance and the throne. In all three visible spots, the difference between the pillars of fire is noticeable by almost twice as much!!! It feels like the proportions of a torso and a head are taking shape in every spot where the fire looks nearly double the size of its neighbor!! But that's not all. Look at the sixth and seventh pictures. Here we can see the fires and entrances out of the fifth picture's field of view. And you can see the difference too, right?? By the way, the fire in the seventh picture is visible literally only in the last frame before it gets obscured by fire (the scene transition effect). Personally, I can see arms, torso, and a head on it! And it is also visually (if you make allowance for perspective) almost twice as large as the fire on the right! Furthermore, compare how they drew the fires inside the Stadium of the Sacred Flame versus the ones outside the arena (the first picture). Why did they paint that white color inside the fires in the arena, which strongly resembles a human skeleton???

What else is the ignition teaser hiding from us?

I discovered this a long time ago, but didn't pay much attention to it at first. I thought it might just be a minor inconsistency due to Natlan being developed in a rush — after all, some differences between early concepts and game reality always slip through due to a lack of time to fix them. For example, Chasca clearly had a Cryo vision in the ignition teaser, but in the actual game, she is Anemo.

However, quite recently I looked closer and realized that a large flock of birds is flying directly towards that island. (The last gif; look in the direction of Mualani's head, they are flying from the beginning to the very end of this scene's visibility). Natlan is a country with a permanently warm climate, so personally, I see no point in birds migrating somewhere to "overwinter." Therefore, the only logical conclusion as to why the birds are flying there in such huge numbers is that they are escaping to a place where it is safe. It has long been known that animals can sense the approach of various natural disasters, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and so on, long before they actually occur. The animals should have been accustomed to hazardous natural phenomena, given that they have an active volcano quite nearby, but this makes one wonder: what kind of danger did the birds sense that made them decide to retreat so urgently and in such massive numbers?

Another reason why I thought it was just a mistake was that there actually is an island near the tribe in that direction (and perhaps the concept diverged slightly from the final look of the game map, so this island isn't visible because it was placed behind that main large building). However, it is very small, and furthermore, birds wouldn't fly in entire flocks to an island that is just a minute away. That island is depicted on the border with the water, which means that it is located quite far away.

Wait... where is the Brand of Sacrifice? (Sandrone animation)

If you used to argue that Capitano just has two different coats in his wardrobe, this new Sandrone teaser completely shatters that logic.

Think about it: it is absolutely impossible for Capitano to wear the exact same type of heavy, fur-lined winter coat for BOTH the sub-zero climate of Snezhnaya and the scorching, volcanic climate of Natlan.

This officially lowers the probability of it being just "different clothes" or "redesigned skins" to zero. The lack of the symbol in the new teaser proves that we are dealing with a Brand of Sacrifice that was (or will be) applied to Capitano's ONE and ONLY iconic outfit.

Plus, we still haven't solved the mystery of his eyes, which we have NEVER seen in-game.

And Capitano WITH the Brand of Sacrifice was the one who met Varka’s expedition.

In Arabic, the word «Hero» (Shujaa in Swahili; the name of the unrevealed Ancient Name) has a second meaning — «Champion»

In Swahili, Shujaa indeed means only hero, but since this language has a certain connection with Arabic, it is logical to assume that Shujaa could be much more connected to the Arabic meaning of the word "Hero".

Trying to translate Shujaa (or hero into English, it's the same thing anyway) into Arabic, I indeed got "Hero" — بطل.

But during the reverse translation from Arabic to Swahili, it gave me only Shujaa. And this is quite interesting, as speakers of both languages might not know about its second meaning in Arabic. Or does it mean that all the variety of meanings we can decode by translating this word into different English words is simultaneously implied under Shujaa in Arabic and Swahili (just as naturally as a Chinese speaker would understand the wordplay with spark/Mars in one specific word).

When trying to translate بطل into English, it is exactly then that it gives other meanings of this word in English: "Champion" and "Heroic".

Therefore, we can completely argue that the one who receives the name Shujaa will be the Champion of the future foreshadowed Tournament.

I think there is a lot of interesting stuff hidden behind this (in the linguistic aspect), so if anyone in this sub knows Arabic, could you please comment on this somehow? It's not that I'm uninterested, it's just that I myself will probably do such an analysis for too long and spend an unjustifiably large amount of effort, and besides this, I have other things to work on.

Hmm… This rite in the ignition teaser is definitely connected with dragons

I am currently in the process of writing a new big theory (it won't be out soon), but I want to share this specific find right now.

Look, in that "very mysterious scene of the ignition teaser," we see how 6 fires form into a hexagon. Note that the fires display not the emblems of each Natlan tribe, but ancient symbols meaning each tribe respectively. This is not difficult to check, if you go into the Speaker's Chamber, you can see the symbols on each chair and match them with the tribe emblems behind. They really do differ.

The most interesting part is the image on the Pyro Archon's chair. Right there, all 6 symbols of the tribes are depicted in the form of a hexagon, but there is an important difference. In the ignition teaser, we see only 6 symbols in the form of a hexagon, but we are not shown the subsequent view when the flame flares up. In the image of the Pyro Archon's chair, in the middle, we see one more symbol, but it does not seem possible to identify it.

Having run around the Stadium of the Sacred Flame in search of clues, I stumbled upon the Tablet of Tona (the place where we turned in sigils). The exact same thing was depicted on it as on the Pyro Archon's chair. But most importantly, we were given it in the form of a building for the teapot, so there is a description here.

Naturally, I immediately jumped into the Chinese and looked at the description (versions too different in meaning in my language and in English forced me to do this):

As we know, saurians are the heirs of dragons, just degraded. And if we recall the ignition teaser, where the ball chose one hero from each of the six tribes, then the only free spot in this rite (in the image of the rite scene in the Ignition teaser) remains in the middle. And the only obvious seventh hero, who was not chosen by the ball, but who must take part in the Tournament, is Capitano. Accordingly, the only remaining spot in the rite is the spot belonging to the heirs of dragons. And by an irony of fate, the one who ended up there was not someone whom fate chose from. Well, like:

The Ball (as a metaphor for fate) — the entire Natlan / 6 tribes submit to it — 6 heroes chosen by it

Against fate — Mavuika / Dragons / Capitano — in the rite, there is one free spot left for dragons/saurians. And we have the seventh remaining participant — Capitano.

I found something! I repeat, I found something (at the end)! But initially, it was "Analysis and breakdown of the Chinese description for the Ignition Teaser (Part 1 of 2)”

The first stanza of the Ignition Teaser greets us with a phrase that was read in the West as a regular, flashy greeting to the Pyro Archon, but upon closer examination, it sounds like a cryptogram:

Chinese original: 熾焰、焚燔與戰火之神, (Chìyàn, fénfán yǔ zhànhuǒ zhī shén)

Official English localization: “O god of fire, infernos, and war,”

Literal translation: “God of Dazzling Flame, Ritual Burning, and Fire of War”

In the English version, all three concepts are compressed into a single abstract subject — “O god of...”, and a rare archaic word was translated as a regular, wild fire (infernos). But if you look at the Chinese syntax, you can see the sign 、 (the dun comma). In Chinese punctuation, it is used strictly for enumerating completely equal, independent concepts.

The structure A、B (與) C (之神) grammatically combines this series into a single title belonging to a common defined word 之神 (Deity). But the devil lies in the bricks from which HoYoverse assembled this hybrid. The writers took three concepts that belong to completely different semantic fields. The meaning of the line stretches literally in three different directions:

熾焰 (Chìyàn) — The natural stratum. This is a dazzling primordial flame, pure light and furious heat. In Eastern Buddhist canons (for example, in translations of the "Mahavairocana Sutra"), the steady expression "Dwelling in the midst of the Dazzling Flame" (住於熾焰中) is the canonical title of Agni — the god of Fire. Agni in the East is not a destroyer, but the Chief Mediator between humans and gods, who accepts ritual offerings and carries them with smoke to the heavens. To me, this is literally a description of the Sacred Flame of Natlan itself.

焚燔 (Fénfán) — The ritual stratum. This is a deep, dead archaism, completely fallen out of use. In the ritual chronicles of the ancient Shang and Zhou dynasties, this term was used strictly to denote a burnt offering. This is the highest religious rite, when a sacrificial gift is burned on the altar entirely, to the very foundation, so that its physical flesh disappears and its essence passes to the higher forces.

The most interesting thing is that the decoding of this concept is dedicated to a series of ascension materials called in the English localization: “Kindling”. And it is literally called by the same symbols in Chinese:「焚燔」For further analysis, I think reading the entire series in the original (translated from Chinese to English) will be useful. It is not large:

Teachings of "Burnt Offering"
The established rule (law) of the Land of Fire is burnt offering.
To take something, one must give something. Wishing to obtain, one must first pay the corresponding price — just as a sacrificial offering should be presented in a burnt offering.

Guide of "Burnt Offering"
The established rule (law) of the Land of Fire is burnt offering.
No matter how many things you wish to acquire, you must pay the corresponding price. Sometimes too much is given for the sake of obtaining, while sometimes, due to insufficient payment, nothing can be obtained. Being able to recognize how to properly give and receive is also one of the meanings of burnt offering.

Philosophy of "Burnt Offering"
The established rule (law) of the Land of Fire is burnt offering.
The so-called burnt offering is offering the price before anything is obtained, yet it often does not guarantee a response or a return.
Paying the price without seeking anything in return is the true meaning of burnt offering, because the day when the results are achieved will ultimately arrive.

戰火 (Zhànhuǒ) — The social stratum (War). Fire born of human conflict, battles, and geopolitics. And this is the only official title of the Pyro Archon of Natlan, meaning Mavuika.

Think about it, normal leaders aren't called by three completely different titles. Of course, you could argue that Natlan is the nation of fire and war, and seemingly, we have formally seen all of this. Although... no... we definitely haven't seen rituals of holocaust/burnt offering. We have only seen rituals of resurrection (though it's funny that throughout the entire 5.0–5.3 plot, we never saw a regular Ode of Resurrection trigger. Only a special one during the Abyss attack in 5.1, and another special one in the 5.3 plot, during the Traveler's resurrection). So it's highly unlikely that Mavuika herself is currently mentioned anywhere as the God of Ritual Burnt Offering. Accordingly, here is the confirmation of my guess. The guess is that three completely different gods are mentioned here, one of whom is Mavuika, the second is the incarnation of the Sacred Flame, and the third…

The third must embody the title "God of Ritual Burnt Offering." And do you remember which symbol, for some reason, keeps appearing and disappearing on Capitano's clothing? Back then, I already assumed that this might be related to games with time. Yes, yes, that exact Brand of Sacrifice (生贄の焼印, Ikenie no Yakīn) from Berserk.

Let's move on to the next, second line:

Chinese: 你的命因紛爭而起,(Nǐ de mìng yīn fēnzhēng ér qǐ,)

Official English localization: “Your fate forged amidst strife,”

Literal translation: “Your destiny takes its origin from strife (struggle),”

A short breakdown of the symbols (I really liked this from the last analytical post, so I think I will use this technique more often).

你的 (Nǐ de) — Your.
命 (Mìng) — Destiny / Life / Predestination.
因 (Yīn) — Because of / By reason of / Consequent to.
紛爭 (Fēnzhēng) — Strife / Struggle / Conflict / War.
而起 (Ér qǐ) — Rises / Takes its origin / Arises.

The English added the image of a forge, while the Chinese original uses a deeper, more creative verb 而起 (ér qǐ) — arises, lifts, rebels/rises up.
But there is also the word 紛爭 here, which is a subtle reference to Yin Yang. I will explain now.

In ancient Chinese philosophy and the Book of Changes (I Ching), the root 紛爭 means not just a fight or a war. It is the "primordial collision of opposing energies (Yang and Yin) before the beginning of creation." Let's dive into this a bit more deeply.

In the Western understanding, "chaos" is simply disorder. In the Chinese tradition (in the Tao Te Ching and Huainanzi treatises), the primordial state of the Universe before creation is called Hundun (混沌) — Primordial Chaos. Inside this Chaos there are no clear forms, but two fundamental opposing energies churn and collide within it: Yang (Light, Fire, Movement) and Yin (Darkness, Water, Rest). The process when these two cosmic forces begin to violently collide, mix, and literally fight each other for the right to form matter is precisely what is called 紛爭 (Fenzheng) in philosophical texts — the Great Collision of Opposites.

And in the context of this reference, 而起 (ér qǐ) — arises, lifts, rebels/rises up — is well revealed.

Here, the meaning of a collision of extreme forces is acquired, since in Chinese natural philosophy when the forces of Yin (Darkness) and Yang (Light) collide at the peak of their extreme point, the birth of "Three" occurs.

Before continuing, it is necessary to explain what is meant by the "extreme point" for each of the forces, since this might be slightly non-obvious.

The main law of Lao Tzu states: "The Tao gives birth to one, one gives birth to two, two give birth to three, and three give birth to the whole multitude of things." Imagine a regular piston and mentally a perfectly closed chamber with air, upon which this piston will press. The piston here is Yin, and the air is Yang. In the Book of Changes (I Ching), a law is embedded: "No force in nature can be absolute and eternal." Likewise, Yang (light) cannot burn forever. Therefore, Yin gradually consumes Yang. In our analogy, the piston begins to press on the air. Gradually, Yin (the piston) consumes more and more space, while Yang (the air) compresses in the shrinking space. And so, the critical point for both forces becomes the moment when the piston presses on the air to the maximum. The air is compressed and, due to the intense pressure, heats up, and then its explosion occurs. Yin retreats, and from Yang a new energy is born, from which everything arises.
(P. S. If it is still difficult for you to understand this, an even more suitable example of visualizing Yin Yang is the death of supermassive stars, but unfortunately this analogy came too late into my head, so if you want, read about it on the Internet separately.)

From their furious friction, "Three" is born — that is, a completely New Energy (True Light / Pure Ether). This third element gives rise to all new life. In general, in Chinese philosophy there is no such concept as death forever or the end of the world. In their ideology, everything takes its origin from nothing (which we are unable to comprehend), and from this beginning everything else is formed. Formed matter never vanishes or dies completely; it simply changes form. It is like the law of conservation of energy in physics, but without energy losses when transitioning into different substances/states.

And in fact, it's incredible, but while reading about Yin Yang, I stumbled upon a hieroglyph that is in this very line: 命 (Mìng) — Destiny / Life / Predestination.

In the context of Yin Yang, this symbol has two ancient Chinese meanings:

For states, nations, and entire world cycles, 命 is a cosmic mandate for rule and existence.

For an individual, 命 is their personal life code, talents, character, and fate given at birth. But this code is revealed only when a person falls into their own personal "vices of the piston." According to Chinese philosophy, the true 命 of a great person or savior is not born in peace and quiet. Their destiny is triggered only when they find themselves in the epicenter of extreme life or cosmic strife. The pressure of circumstances compresses them to the limit, forcing the internal energy to detonate, and thus a personality capable of changing the course of history is born.

That is, this sentence from the perspective of Chinese is written in as many as two forms: Ancient Chinese and Modern Chinese. The meanings at the same time are completely different. Here is how it would sound in Ancient Chinese.

你的命 - The Heavenly Mandate of the Nation / Your destiny (it can be both, equally).

因紛爭 - Consequent to the collision of Yin and Yang (instead of Yin and Yang, you can insert any similar forces: darkness and light, fire and ice).

而起 - Arise (There was a whole large paragraph here dedicated to the fact that I couldn't find a suitable word in English, but then an ideal example from Solo Leveling came to mind, where in the English localization the main character summoned his shadow army with the word Arise, which is equivalent to the word I selected by meaning in my native language, and at the same time reflected the essence — a powerful impulse upward, like the one that occurs during an air explosion in the piston example.)

Now let's move on to the third sentence.

Chinese: 你的路以英名鋪就,(Nǐ de lù yǐ yīngmíng pū jiù)

English localization: Your path paved in glory and names renowned,

Literal translation: Your path is paved with the names of heroes,

To start, let's briefly break down the symbols:

你的路 (Nǐ de lù) — Your path / Your road. Here stands the sign 路 (lù). In the Chinese language, this means a completely specific, material road laid on the ground, upon which people physically walk with their feet. That is, it is a tangible historical route or a chain of earthly events.
以 (Yǐ) — With the help of / By means of / Using as a material. This is a crucial instrumental preposition in the Ancient Chinese language. According to the context, the preposition informs about what or with the help of what material this path is being built. The material must follow next.
英名 (Yīngmíng) — Renowned Names / Names of Heroes.
In the modern Chinese language, 英名 (Yingming) is a single word meaning "good fame" or "high reputation" (which is why the English translated it as glory).
But in the Ancient Chinese language, the hieroglyph 英 (Yīng) is not just "glory." Initially, it was a pictogram meaning "flower", "the best, most outstanding part of a plant," and later — "hero", "a talented and outstanding person." The hieroglyph 名 (Míng) is "name."
鋪就 (Pū jiù) — Paved / Tightly laid. Roughly speaking, this is a process when building stones (or slabs) are fitted one to another and tightly driven into the ground to create a monolithic, indestructible pavement.

The last word has an interesting Ancient Chinese meaning. In ancient ritual texts, the sign 鋪 was used to describe the process of "spreading sacrificial carpets or mats" before the altar, upon which gifts for spirits and ancestors were placed. The hieroglyph 就 nearby is interpreted as a verb meaning "to complete, firmly fix forever, to submit to a higher law.

If we recall that the material for the road was 英名 (Yīngmíng) — Renowned Names / Names of Heroes, then it turns out that they act here in the role of an altar sacrifice. They become the foundation for something (apparently new?).

Another interesting thing is that in Wenyan, the preposition 以 is not just an abstract "in" or "on" (as in the English "paved in glory"). It is a hard marker of a tool or raw material, which literally translates as "using as a building material" or "by means of a tool", but in general, it is simply a confirmation that the process of building the road is indeed physical, not metaphorical. A literal road, laid out for centuries from the names of heroes.

But the most interesting thing here is that it is “your road/path”. Generally, the sentence itself literally implies that this road is built not just to exist and function. It is literally built for one person and with a specific purpose — so that this very person, to whom the road belongs, would walk along it. But... although the English is framed as if it is Mavuika's path, in reality, the Chinese version is least likely to mean a woman, because there is no hieroglyph 妳 (feminine "you/your") in the sentence, while 你 is used instead, which can refer either to a man, or to an abstract cosmic phenomenon, a nation, or an entire era. And this, by the way, is relevant for three whole sentences (2-4 inclusive), since literally three sentences start with this symbol. And this also even confirms my assumption that in the first sentence not only Mavuika is meant, but also other persons/gods.

Although... by the same logic, in Chinese, the spelling of the words "god" and "goddess" should be different.

And it turned out to be exactly so:

神 (Shén) — God. A universal, basic masculine or neutral hieroglyph to designate a male deity, a higher spirit, or a divine power in general. This symbol is used at the end of the first sentence.
女神 (Nǚshén) — Goddess. A special, strictly fixed word to designate a female deity. The hieroglyph 女 (Nǚ) means "woman / female," and adding it to the word 神 is technically necessary when talking about a specific female goddess.

So here, the address is specifically not to Mavuika herself as a person, but to her status/position, which has no separation into feminine and masculine gender, but the title of which is still only "God of War / Pyro Archon." To manage to twist it so coolly to hint at other deities, one really had to try hard.

The remaining three lines I will break down in the second part.

P.P.S. During the home stretch of publishing this post, I stumbled upon a strange difference in which symbols are used to name the "God of War" in the description of the ignition teaser and the travail trailer, but surprisingly, the meaning does not change from the modification of the symbol, look:

In the description of the ignition teaser - 戰火之神 - God of War

In the travail trailer it is - 戰爭之神 - also God of War

Although I personally do not see a semantic difference, there is still something funny. The word - Mars (Fire star)/spark is written exactly with this symbol in Chinese - 火星. Of course, I don't want to stretch the truth, but perhaps this is an elegant hint at the change of the Pyro Archon in Natlan, reflecting the future plot, because the symbol 爭 means struggle in every sense (which is what Mavuika did all her life), and 火 is a pure and furious fire. Such a symbol definitely heralds something more than a nation's mere attempt to survive.

P.P.P.S. wtf, it turns out that Mars has a second spelling variant in Chinese (there are exactly two of them in total) — and the word consists of two symbols:

神 — God (Well, meaning again a reference only either to a position or to the masculine gender).
戰 — War/battle/fight.

This is a literal confirmation of the equivalence between the title "God of War" and Mars, but now the question is, who was meant in China by the "God of War"?

Impossible, impossible!!! It is a real person! His name was Guan Yu (Guān Yǔ). He became famous for his incredible physical strength, military prowess, and unyielding code of honor!!! He is revered not for how many enemies he killed, but for the fact that he never betrayed his brothers in arms and followed the highest Heavenly Mandate (Tianming)!!! When the Chinese build temples in his honor, they call them "Wu Miao" (武廟 — Temple of Military Valor), and Guan Yu himself in religious rites is called by the universal masculine title 戰神 (Zhànshén) — God of War or... 武聖 (Wǔ Shèng) — Holy Warrior?!??!?!?!?!?

Holy Warrior!!!!! How did I end up with Jesus!?

The name of Jesus Christ in Chinese Christian translations is 聖子 (Shèngzǐ) — Holy Son or 救世聖主 (Jiùshì shèngzhǔ) — Holy Savior of the World.

But to designate Guan Yu in religious rites, among others, the exact same symbol is used as in both variants of Jesus's name in Chinese Christian translations — 聖 — Saint !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF?! WHAT HAVE I JUST DISCOVERED!!!!

Okay, this isn't funny anymore. My comment has been unhidden

So it's unlikely that it was YouTube's stupid AI. It simply wouldn't have returned my comment. Did I catch HoYovers red-handed? Did my trolling work? (This is a continuation of this post)

I've never personally seen spam comments on YouTube actually returned. So it's unlikely my comment was considered spam. Besides, can AI even unhide a comment?
