Amazon find, 12x16, 19 colors. This was not easy to do as I’ve been dealing with a tremor in my hand for the last month. I guess it’s good the lines aren’t straight.

Spooky Festival - Canvas by Number. My first 48 color. I ordered with their buy 2 get 1 free sale and they arrived on my door step in 4 days. I couldn’t believe it. I ordered unframed and packaging was great. Paints are good—opaque and creamy. I’ve added a few drops of flow medium to about a third of them. Added some heavy body titanium white to a couple but most don’t need anything. Some of them don’t self level very well but all-in-all I’m very pleased. Hopefully CBN stays consistent.
I’m trying to give flow method a go and so far it’s not looking great. Why is it drying so streaky? I feel like I’m getting solid coverage when I apply it. Is my mixture too thin? What’s the best way to fix this—another layer of flow method or regular brush strokes?
Thanks.
This one feels special to me, I think because of the amount of work I put into it. It took nearly a month of almost daily painting. I think I’m going to put a satin varnish on it but it’s definitely getting a frame and a spot on the wall. Maybe a walnut or a cherry frame.

Lots of blending on this one. Finally got the confidence to throw caution to the wind and really go for it.
All 3 birds have appeared! I’m happy with the progress on this one but at times it feels like it’s getting bigger as I’m doing it.
In complete contrast to the precision of my tree I started a second piece to have something to paint a bit more freely. I’m playing fast and loose with the lines on this one, using watercolor brushes, opening up a bunch of paints at once — breaking all the “rules” of PBN. It’s a bit of a mess but it looks good from a distance and I like the paintbrush feel. I’m enjoying both of my pieces in a different way.
There was a post on here where someone posted a link for a plastic puller tool they use for the ribbed style paint pots that some of the companies are switching to.
I thought I saved it but apparently not. Hoping you see this and will repost for me.
I really struggle with those pots but want to order from a company that uses them. I suppose decanting all my paints is an option.
My brush block and little paint tray arrived and my set-up is now vastly improved. No more paint brushes rolling all over the table and under the painting, on the floor or losing track of paints. It’s even more relaxing now. Does this hobby get any better? (I can even move my whole set up in front of the tv in the living room if I feel like it). This past time has greatly improved my mental health.
Had fun playing around with some blending on this one.
Took me darn near an hour just to paint the bird. Used a 20/0 liner brush for the whole thing.
Well that part’s finished! This has felt like playing brain games at times —find the hidden birds, follow the trail. I’m loving it.
Has anyone ordered within the last month? I know they’ve been having paint quality issues and I’m wondering if they’ve been resolved. Their paints were really good at one point and then they apparently dropped off. They have some paintings I really want to do including a Halloween one but I also don’t want to waste my money.
Started a second piece because I like having two to switch between. I think this one is going to be really cool.
I love the painted/brush stroke feel of this one.
There are supposed to be two distinct blues and two distinct yellows in this picture. I think I can kind of convince myself that the blues are slightly different but the yellows have to be the same, right? I don’t always trust my eyes. This is a 24 color kit so it must be a mistake, if not it’s a bit of a disappointment.

Finished this in a little over a week (5 actual painting days) instead of my usual 3 weeks. Don’t know what possessed me. . t
