Had to report mouse droppings in a client’s house.

I’ve been working with a super sweet 90+ year old who lives by herself in her own home, she does have a touch of dementia so her daughter calls her everyday & I think drops by after work either every day or a few times a week. I’ve been helping in her house for about 1 1/2 years, 1 day a week and last week I had to report mouse droppings on her kitchen counters & in her cupboards.
I noticed today she has been removed from my client list and I am not scheduled to go to her house. I feel awful, when I was leaving her house the last time I was there, she kept telling me she did not want me to go & I let her know that I’d be back next week. No one from my agency has said anything to me either, I just noticed on the app she was no longer listed as a client & I’m not scheduled to see her.

I’m a middle age adult (50’s) and I went low contact with my father for a variety of issues, 1 being he did not attend my sister’s husband funeral because his team was in the play off game & as their head coach he said he could not miss it. Another reason was I discovered anything I said to him in private was being shared with other family members so I felt betrayed and that I could not trust him. It’s been a good 12 years of very low contact and now that he is getting older, people keep saying I’ll regret not reconnecting with him. I don’t think he’s changed much to be honest, he never really made an effort with myself, my sister or the majority of his grandchildren (he was interested in the one male grandchild) so nothing has changed. Anyone else experience this?

I’m so angry and disappointed, my step daughter visited us this past week for her college Spring Break, it’s been quite awhile since she’s been here so I was excited and oh so hopeful my Q would be on his best behavior.

Unfortunately 1 night he got very drunk and my step daughter had to witness the beginnings of his nasty mouth. Luckily we have a small 1 bedroom guest building so she excused herself to go to bed which I am incredibly thankful for. He proceeded to swear, name call & even threw something against the wall, it was a horrible, stressful night. He did not remember a thing and just asked if his daughter saw/heard any of it when I informed him the next morning of how truly awful he behaved. I am embarrassed for both of us to be honest, him for being so horrible & myself for not just saying Fu$$ this and leaving for the night.
