Changed the blades

I got the alert from the app that the blades needed to be changed. When I checked the bottom 2 of the blades were stuck because grass got caught underneath them that wouldn’t allow the blades to pivot properly. This is something I will check regularly because if those blades are locked and aren’t able to spin I feel it could damage the wheel

Podcast “Bros”

The last time a group of podcasters put their finger on the scale of a national election we ended up with a disaster in the White House. Elections have consequences

Ricky Rocky

That Rock dude is pathetic. Aside from making fun of the way people looks and talk he has zero substance. His pod is the worst. It’s all failed attempts at humor. He was fired years ago and got his job back without backpay which means he was guilty. He ran for office at his branch and failed miserably which tells you what his branch thinks of him

Region 1 drama

The “shuffling of the deck” excuse that Corey used was a good reason except for the fact that Rios couldn’t sell it and the fact that Reed was locked out of the arbitration data base. Corey could sell ice to an Eskimo. Rios and Henry not so much.

Secretary treasurer

Smart move by the CLC not running anyone against Rhine. She is probably more knowledgeable about the inner workings of HQ than anyone. Even though she’s a Renfroe holdover she’ll be a team player no matter who wins. Henry’s strength is at arbitration table not the business end of it. Nicole knows where all the bodies are buried and will make any transition easier. Same will be true if Eddie wins.

Uniforms.

Ptfs aren’t getting their purchasing cards. I’m going to file an article 26 grievance but what info can I ask for first? Is management supposed to do something locally to trigger Ptfs getting their card?

Chris Jackson

When did Chris Jackson get onto the CLC slate? Kosier was running for city delivery up until a few weeks ago. Jackson wasn’t even running for re-election. He’s part of the “establishment” they always complain about.

Rivera.

I’m embarrassed to ask. Someone help a brother out. I’d like to believe that I keep up with all the union stuff. I listen to the podcasts worth listening to. There are so many maybe I missed 1. I have no idea about the Rivera situation. Someone direct me to where I can get up to speed. Either give me the readers digest version here or send me to an episode. I don’t want to go into the unknown not knowing. TIA.

Renfroe’s spending

Before I get started, let me say first and foremost that I’m voting for Walton. I’m not sure his talents are best suited for the Executive Vice President position, but I think he’ll be a tremendous asset in whatever role he serves at Headquarters.
I’m not voting for Henry. The more I hear him speak, the less impressed I become.
For me, it’s between Caref and Renfroe. The recent news involving Renfroe is troubling if it’s true, but before I make a final decision, I want to hear his response to the accusations.
Let’s also be honest about what happened with the whole “Mr. Groskopf Goes to Washington” situation. In my view, it was a political hit job—and a very well-executed one. Right down to the throwaway comment Corey made that many people probably missed. He mentioned that Groskopf’s branch sent him to Washington. I would be very surprised if someone from that branch made a motion to fund the trip. I believe the effort was orchestrated by the CLC, of which Dave is a part of.
The CLC likely couldn’t have funded the trip directly, especially considering its financial limitations. Many Table 2 carriers, who make up a large portion of the CLC’s base, simply don’t have the disposable income to contribute as much as they might like. I’m not saying the trip shouldn’t have happened—in fact, from a political standpoint, I think it was a smart move. I’m simply pointing out what I believe was the strategy behind it.
And don’t be fooled by Corey saying he was angry about it. I didn’t get that impression at all. If anything, he seemed thrilled with how everything played out. He was laughing through much of what was supposed to be outrage. Why wouldn’t he be? From the CLC’s perspective, it was an effective political move.
I enjoy watching the political strategy unfold, and I’m looking forward to hearing Renfroe’s response. With the convention only three weeks away, things are about to get very interesting.

Social Media 🦈 are circling

Reports are circulating that some CLC candidates may not plan to work regularly from their assigned offices if elected. For example, there are claims that at least one candidate for a resident national officer position may not intend to live in the Washington, D.C., area, and that some Regional Business Agent candidates may plan to spend much of their time working in the field rather than from their offices.
I’m not naming names, and I don’t want this thread to become about specific individuals. Instead, I’m interested in discussing the broader issue. Do you believe resident national officers should live and work in the Washington, D.C., area? Should Regional Business Agents primarily work from their assigned offices, or is it more important for them to spend significant time in the field? What do you think is the right balance?
I also think this is a question that every candidate should be asked during the current podcast interview circuit. Whether a host supports the CLC slate or is trying to remain neutral, this is a legitimate question that members deserve to hear answered. So far, I haven’t heard it asked, and I think that’s a missed opportunity. Knowing where candidates intend to work and how they plan to fulfill the responsibilities of the office they’re seeking is relevant information for every member before casting a ballot.

Corey’s masterclass

Corey gave a masterclass on how to beat stationary event discipline in episode 301. The template he gave should be used on all types of performance disciplinary action. It was long but people who listened while working should listen again at home with paper and pen while taking extensive notes. This episode is the reason why he should be the director of city delivery. Putting him anywhere else at HQ is wasting his talent.

William Boon part 2? 😂

William Boone having a 2 part interview with Rich Ray is comical. All you need is to listen to that guy for about 8 seconds to know that not only is he not qualified but he also isn’t getting many votes. Makes me wonder why Ray would have him back for a second time after the first agonizing 90 minute interview. I actually listened to the whole thing. My only conclusion is that it’s a tactic by the CLC. They just put Kosier out there for the position of director of health and safety. If Manny runs it will be a tough lift for Kosier who already failed at city the delivery gig. Maybe someone like Rolando will be running for city delivery and in that case the CLC is just shuffling their deck. So in turn they want to make sure that Boone isn’t around to even get 100 votes from Kosier because of razor thin margins he would have with Manny. All these election politics are fascinating to me. Now I’m hearing maybe Manny might be running for a different position. Maybe he’s running for city delivery. I did hear the other day Walton make a comment on his show how he made a call to Manny to get some HIPP information sent to him. This means at the very least there’s a cordial relationship there. I doubt Corey would put Kosier in a place to intentionally fail. Once again all fascinating.
