Love my new type S, but absolutely hate the B&O system. Bummer the ELS is gone. It’s great for some I understand, but it hurts my ears, even at low volume. I don’t know if it’s a frequency thing, faulty speakers, or just from the lack of adjustments. Even with the crappy circle adjustment, you can never seem to remove the bass and treble. After short stints, my ears are fatigued and there seems to be a slight shrill in the sound. Maybe it’s just because it’s so amplified? IDK not an expert at all with sound. But I do know that the Honda Pilot Bose system I had prior was way better for my ears.

Has anyone successfully upgraded the stock B&O for model year 25/26 to better speakers, or modified with software, the current system, to make it better? Can it be addressed by a car audio shop?

Ridiculous a 31 speaker system is terrible for my ears but there you go! Love everything else about the car. Any advice would be appreciated. I would HaTE to trade this in down the road, because it’s that good of a car.
