Does this nail bed look normal to you? Give legit advice

Had a temporary big toenail avulsion on 04/30. 4 days later the “non stick” gauze the podiatrist gave me to finish using got stuck to my nail bed for 36 hours. Went back to the podiatrist to take off the gauze, which he did by slowing pulling off with no other supplies. He told me to use neosporin and bandaids thereafter until our next appointment which would be 5/20. I did.

Through the next 2 weeks i experienced no pain, no discomfort, no smells, just itching around the cuticle. Soaked once a day in epsom salt finished off with neosporin and a bandaid

The day before my follow up appointment, my nail bed looked like it had a blister when I took off the bandaid for the second soak of the day. (First pic) I was highly concerned but decided to just wait until my appointment the next day to ask about it.

By the appointment day, Which was the next day, the blister looked as if it spread through the entire nail bed (second pic). When I asked the podiatrist, he said “I never seen this before. Then tried to “pop” the blister with his fingers as if it was a pimple. Since I wasn’t having any pain, this didn’t cause me any discomfort, but it did make me question him overall.

Nothing came out. No liquid, no puss at all. Just looked like yellow skin that grew overnight. Totally normal🙄. (Sarcasm).

I am still completely worried about my toenail bed and nervous the nail will not grow back because of this freakishly hard, yellow, callous that’s growing over it. (Pics 3-end from today)

TLDR: Does this look normal?? After a temporary toenail removal on 4/30, I figured this would look more pink than yellow and wouldn’t feel so calloused. No pain, no discomfort, no smells. Just strange color. I just want my toenail to grow back.
