The bearings are still buttery smooth, it only puts out 3A @ 12.1v @ 2500rpm.

And that, Ladies and Gents, is why you mount a fire extinguisher to the A pillar. Every fraction of every second counts when it goes up in flames.

What are y'all doing about lower control arm bushings?

I'm a mechanic/shop owner and I have a client with a 97 K1500 Suburban. It's got 400,000 miles on the original engine and trans. It's been garage kept and meticulously maintained with records. The owner bought it brandy new in 1996 and has daily driven it since. The lower control arms for these things (with torsion bar front suspension), as I'm sure y'all are aware, don't exist in the aftermarket. Our hydraulic press stretched the bushing holes and my employee didn't realize it when it happened. Honestly you can't even see it till you try to put the bushings in. Attempts to undo the damage have been futile. I need new lowers and am hopeful y'all have a source for new arms with bushings and BJs. None of the salvage yards in my area have them and I can't find any part outs on marketplace.
